I think they saw FNaF and Bendy, and thought their game would be on the same level in terms of merchandise and popularity. What they failed to realize is their game isn't as good as those games (in my opinion), there are only two, maybe three characters in their game, and there is only one game not several. Even the Baldi game would be better for merchandise. Hello Neighbor got really haughty about their popularity. You see the same for other things, like that one Youtube stars things that showed up, clogged shelves, and was never seen again.

There is allowed to be more than one team based FPS on the market. And thank goodness, because TF2 is absolutely dreadful nowadays.

If you want an actual TF2 Ripoff look up Final Combat, a Chinese clone of TF2.

Hasbro has done good work with marvel legends, but primarily because reusing sculpts has left them with liberties. It's why ML is doing so good and the black series is comparatively worse, smaller sizes+unique sculpts+worse quality. Since I see very little ways they'll be able to reuse sculpts for OW, I fear they may be shit. I'm no professor, so I really don't know what to expect. Better set my standards low.

Probably will be shit, but we'll see what happens. They might try and bank off reusing the molds for different costumes/color swaps. Faces will probably turn out badly, but I'd at least be optimistic for masked/robot figures.
