Most underrated Mattel figure?

There is a bunch but currently the dimorphodon comes to mind. Great size, sculpt, posing options, several paint variants - really a great figure and it can actually stand up as opposed to the pteranodon figures.

Yeah, dimorphodon is definitely an unexpected favorite of mine. I don't know if it's really an underrated figure, but I like that Mattel is willing to do lesser known species rather than stick to the same old standard ones. Stuff like Minmi and Suchomimus is wonderful IMO.

oh, well thanks for the awesome pic ive been using it as a reference in my hunt for this guy I actually hadn't seen any actual in hand pics till I saw yours. I really want to get an EC Rex and don't want to get the one that looks like it has a dick sticking out of it and go through the trouble of having to modify it or just rip it out to keep it from inhibiting the chompin action so anyway you get the idea, any tips that could help would be great.

So what do you guys not have over there in Europe, I know the UK doesn't have the Legacy Humans and a few other things that unfortunately never made it there but they were lucky to get the Spino and the US doesn't have the Spino, Destructasaurs, or the wave 2 BD figures yet, so it sorta looks like some countries have things others don't and its an international case of "you win some you lose some".
Personally, I don't see why people don't just trade the rare figures with each other internationally. It would be very fair trade, like for example a person in the UK could the Trade a Legacy Spino to a person in the US for 3 Legacy humans and a person in south America or Mexico could Trade Destruct-a-saur set for something they don't have ect., instead of everyone having to pay the Scalpers 10 times the MSRP for something they could get in a fair trade with a worthy, willing person with no fuss but shipping.
Thoughts on this anybody?

And that's pretty much it. Frenchfag here, I was already surprised that we got the wave with Ceratosaurus, Pteranodon and Ankylosaurus. Still hesitating on getting the vehicule that launch a gyro and other dinos

That toyline is the best one since TLW, they came out in June with the movie release, now most shelves are empty. And I'm seeing the Indominus Rex from Hasbro at 220 € loose, no way I'm letting scalpers having all that cool stuff.

A lot of my old Jurassic Park toys have been jumbled up in a lot of moves and family drama over the years, and I don't know what's gone for good and what might just be stuck in an unmarked box buried over in storage. The one I'm the least sure that I still have is the big rubbery Juvenile T-Rex. I hope it's still out there somewhere with my stuff, but I'm pessimistic. Maybe I'll finally know for sure once I get time to dig through all that later this year.

Dimorphodon is a great choice. Some of the dinosaurs got weak offerings as an Attack Pack figure(fucking Galimimus!), but Dimo got a nicely articulated and stable figure.

I'd also tentatively say the blindbag mini dinos ended up a lot neater than I expected. I ended up liking a lot of them, except for the mini Spinosaurus which ended up looking awful for some reason. Confused the fuck out of me since it's proportions are so off and the paint so boring, when those are just fine for the Baryonyx and Suchomimus.

Europe doesn't have either of those unfortunately. The only thing Europe has ahead of the rest is pretty good availability of wave 2 Roarivores and the suchomimus.

Europe as a whole doesn't even have the spinosaurus, only the UK.

Having gotten most of wave 1 and 2 of those, a lot of them are pretty nice and have subtly better colors and gradients than you'd expect. Some of them are weird duds, though, like the Spinosaurus one. (Which is ironic since the big one looks great.)

Does anyone wish this line had the dinosaurs posed with their legs in a neutral position? I like the sculpts on a lot of them but they're so goddamn hard to stand up on anything other than a hard surface. I'd prefer if they were more like kenner's more neutral posed dinosaurs. Yes, printed on the back of the bag, top left. The relevant letter will be at the end usually followed by the wave number, so if you see a code that ends in H2 that's a wave 2 figure and per the corresponding letter, it's a spino.

I think these >>7121865 are from that one line that I don't know the name of, that's like a fair bit bigger than the regular figures but way less articulate, the first wave had Owen, Blue, and a generic Raptor, and maybe something else. I think they generally only have arm and hip articulation but they're pretty big and cheap-ish. They come in those vertical boxes kind of like those big Avengers figures you see in stores.

The red Herrera is just from Attack Pack, and it has less articulation and lower-quality materials than it's BD version, but it's still worth a buy if you love the colors enough.

Herrera is one of those dinosaurs where I didn't even know it existed until I randomly saw it's JP action figure, but then I fell in love.

It's probably both because I love dinosaurs that look a bit like two-legged crocodiles(sup spinosaurids), but also the Herrera might combine the best qualities of looking both dangerous and goofy.

I really hope they get around to doing JW1 stuff in the Legacy line. Indomimus Rex, the other raptor pack members aside from Blue, Masrani and Hoskins all deserve Mattel figures if you ask me.

I think it will be part of the Main line not the Legacy line. The Legacy Line is to honor the first Trilogy, the time between JP:/// and Jurassic World is 14 years I'm sure you get the idea of were we would find him. It was basically a re-branding that happened in 2015. So we will most likely not see him as part of the Legacy Collection no more than we will see the Indominus Rex as a Legacy figure. They are all from a new part of the Franchise and would logically and canonically be part of separate trilogies its what the Legacy line is to pay homage to Classic Jurassic.
If what if saying is accurate than when its released the Indominus will not be an exclusive making it pretty common to find when its released next year. Another that points to it being part of the main line is the Mattel is only making one new T-Rex for next year instead of several this year there were 4 different versions (not that we need another Rexy or female Rex agian.).

Just so you know, the individual blindbag mini dinos and the three-packs are generally higher quality than that huge pack, have articulation, and several have way better paint, so don't let the Walmart pack sour you on the line if you haven't tried those.

Basically I haven't even bothered with the Walmart Big Pack yet for that reason, although I might grab it on clearance someday since it's still the only way to get the Mosasaurus mini.

Ironically, we probably would have dodged the entire issue had the Spino itself not been rediscovered right when movie was being made. They were originally going to have the Baryonyx be the large dino antagonist, and even with all the boneheads working on JPIII, surely none of them would have been dumb enough to try and dickwave it against a T-Rex.

These STEM fossil strikers really are a lot better than I thought they'd be. I kind of assumed they were going to be just statues with a dumb motion gimmick with that big glaring colorful plastic piece being an eyesore, but it turns out that not only are they pretty articulated, you can swap out the motion piece for a better-looking bone segment.

They're really nice to have as vaguely dignified-looking mini museum pieces on your shelf, or if you just want a rad dinosaur skeleton to pose. Also unlike what it looks like in most of the promo pictures, the raptor one can go into a more iconic raptor pose with it's tail arching the right way without any trouble.

The only problem is that the joints can be a little stuck when you first get them and feel like they'd break if you hamhand them, so be careful and gently loosen them before putting it together, hot water will help. Because of this I feel like maybe they wouldn't be so great for kids who might snap something trying to build it, which feels like a shame, but eh, stick around and help them with it and it'll be fine.

All the way back before April since toy fair this GnG has been shown and expected to come out, I think it's always been the priority just like 3 Rexs and so on.
The only thing close is the EC Rex, would you rather have the EC Spino or the EC Rex... There is your answer. Any they are not the same size toy or price point so you can't put them in the same box. Shelf space cost money.

Maybe when EC Rex has had it's run then we will see EC Spino on shelves. Or it will remain Online...

***this is just pertaining to US Targets***

Maybe this is why Mattel says if you want Spinos on the shelves be loud about it to TARGET.

Ah yeah I just watched that the other day as well. I am normally not really a fan of these type of toys but this one objectively looks amazing.

Suchomimus has taken so long to infiltrate my neck of the woods, that I bought the first one I managed to find out of impatience even though it's eyes are pointing different directions.

I guess I could fix it if it really bugged me that much, but maybe Sucho's eyes look so crazy normally that it doesn't even look that off for this weird-ass dino.

I think suchos eyes are supposed to be like that, it’s a fucking lumpy croco-frog.
Also, wasted a whole day excavating this thing.
Took forever but it’s KINO.

I got a protocera and procerato at Walmart today, I was able to get Wheatley and Claire at the same store a few weeks ago so I'm pretty much caught up. Now just waiting for BD Galli to start popping up at my local Walmarts and then wait for Malcolm and legacy Dilo at Target.
