Gold swirl plastic is no longer a risk. That issue was solved years ago by Hasbro correcting the mix ratio that caused it to be so brittle. We've gotten plenty of swirly gold plastic toys since that are holding up just fine.

Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron is also a big offender, and his was more of a dark brown plastic if I recall correctly. Can't remember if it had metal swirl or flake, but the only safe way to own him now is to track down the somewhat rare Japanese BW Metals version.
