I wouldn't even buy a figure that looks like shit, so going with stuff I bought, the Halo 3 Spartans from Mcfarlane were not the best experience for me. I don't know which ones or wave, but the joints on them were bad. Either stuck solid or broke real easy. I think the later ones were perfectly fine and Reach and on were fine too.

But speaking of Reach the troopers not having bicep swivels is criminal. They can't hold the two handed guns they come with. Trash until modified.

I mostly skipped out on the line way long ago when it first came out, but I've slowly been buying them up for my collection, and i've found that all the complaints seem to have been exaggerations. Or maybe the plastic aging has made the plastic more durable?

Don't know the details, I'm assuming it was early wave problems that was fixed later, factory level shit not the toy design. The later ones certainly didn't have that problem but since I got into it towards the end of Halo 3 run maybe? so don't know the extent of this bad QC I guess.

The trooper I went in with the intention of chomping that right arm and placing in a peg for rotation. I would've army build if it was made by someone with half the brain and make a figure capable of the one pose it needs to be in.

From what i remember on /toy/ back then, almost all bitching about the toys breaking was mostly just about the Rookie/ODST figures.

Aside from that, there's very few complaints about other shit breaking and most bitching about the line in general was about the articulation and the aliens not being able to stand up.

I've been buying up the Halo 3 figures from various waves, so I'm not really seeing anything breaking.

I was nowhere near 4chan then so memory is sketchy and I haven't touched the figures in years. I don't remember problems with ODST. And it wasn't that much breakage but more to do with stuck joints. Mostly the hips iirc. Kind of ruins the posing ability if the hips were armor locked.
