Grimlock is loud and bombastic while Volcanicus would be near taciturn and vicious, while starscream is charismatic and clever, whIle his combined form shows his real colors as a compulsive backstabber. With Elita I'm admittedly stumped.
Back to the topic of dimobots, has it ever bothered you that sluge is smaller then Grimlock despite being a brontosaurus/apatosaurus? I know they are hardly a picture of accuracy but I feel like relative scale isn't asking too much.
Even the combiner dilemma the size changet makes could be solved, go the devastate route and have sluge form the lower torso. With grimlock the upper. Then add a new member to be the missing limb, who would you pick? Slash wouldn't count as raptors are too small, though she'd make a lovely shoulder turret.
