>>>7131986 This happens every couple of threads and no one ever says “oh, you’re right! ____ brand of figure IS shit, I’ll sell my toys right now!”This actually happens. See the first Figuarts Iron Man figure. The Monster Arts Predator. Monster Arts Alien. REvoltech Alien. Or Revoltech Spdierman. Or the various Captain America figures. Or the Thors. Lots and lots of figures get shat on by these same fanboys that were trying to extol how it was the best of all time figure.
But they don't admit how bad it is until months/years after it's no longer being sold in stores and which almost makes me believe there's a couple of store owners here trying to get rid of their stock.
>>7131982That's a cool strawman you're trying to build, but you won't see me defending lazy efforts, hence me mostly buying One:12 figures instead and why I always preferred Toy Biz's figures.
Still, why are you even trying to bring up a double standard when it has nothing to do with anything said?
I complimented Mafex for actually putting effort into their sculpts like Hasbro has and you guys get all pissy for pointing out that HAsbro is known for their god tier sculpting. Does that always mean Hasbro always produced god tier sculpting? Nope, because no company always does god tier 100% of the time, not even Hot Toys. But you can tell that they strive for something great.
Shit like this made me sad, because holy fuck at these great sculpts and even Silver Samurai's design is ACE. An A+ effort that went to waste.
Mafex has talent over there and you can see it in their figures, even when they had QC issues. That's why i ranked them higher than Bandai, since Bandai doesn't even try sometimes, like you see with their trying to fake sculpt detail by using low res stickers of photos to fake that needed detail.
