Are the official Tamashii Stage Act 4 stands really the real deal in terms of quality?

No. Get the Chinese bootlegs, they're the same shit. Some will say that they have bubbles in the arm piece and they do, but it's something autism free people don't really care about. People stare at figures, not stands. I'm about to purchase some more on AliExpress.

I already have some chinkshit ones. the waist clip thing feels pretty loose and the part that plugs into the stem doesn't feel as tight as it should be.

mind you the only JDM stands I have are the ones that came with my revoltechs and the quality of those are significantly superior.

just not sure if the official Tamashii stands are going to be of similar quality or if they really are just the same as the chinkshit

I've seen in some reviews of the real ones where the reviewer mentioned his waist clip was a bit loose.

I've had some of those issues, nothing that can't be fixed though. I only own one original Tamashii stand because it came with one of my figures and it's basically the same thing as the Chinese ones.

I use teflon tape whenever I need to tighten something, it has worked pretty well with the stands, the good thing about teflon tape is that you can peel it off if you mess up or just want to get rid of it.

Except a much more brittle plastic and overall lesser quality feel.

I would never pay more than 15-20 for a set.

Though I prefer the kind that come with the wrestling ring because they have the extra hook that goes under the crotch, but those can be kind of pricey.

the stem hole cracked a bit on all 3 when I was turning the connected parts to angle them differently.

are the official ones this brittle?

they're still usable but need to be a bit careful with balancing them now since they are loose enough that the stem plugged in the hole will a bit easier than it should.
