>>7139426>Darth Vader counts as a villain when he reforms in ROTJ and was good in three prequel moviesReforming at the last moment barely excludes his status as main badguy and his role in the prequels was literally "watch how this guy becomes space Hitler". Figuarts have also made Darth Maul, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma and endless variations of Stormtroopers.
>WHERE'S MY GANON FIGURES THEN MUTHAFUCKA!?!?The only thing you can point to for this "Japanese dont like villains!" thing are releases like this, where they'll make the main hero and then stop.
>Start naming massive Japanese toy lines with tons of villains?Figuarts have made villains for pretty much every property they've done. Star Wars, Marvel, Kingdom Hearts, DBZ, Precure, Sentai, Kamen Rider, Street Fighter, One Piece, Pokemon. We even get Bowser for Mario, or does he not count because he's appeared as a good guy in spinoffs?
>A gym leader counts as a villainI specifically didn't count Blue or N, despite technically being villains by being your main rivals through out their games, but Giovanni was literally a mob boss who stole Pokemon for profit, ran casions, tried to forceably take over companies and was seemingly only a gym leader to work his way into the Pokemon League structure. If that's not enough, he appeared in the most recent games as a dimension hopping final boss, attempting to put together a League of Evil for complete world domination.
