>>7136369>Has anybody else here given up on this line?I mean, I'm getting there.
Considering my most reliable way of getting these 20 dollar toys is to buy them for 40-50 bucks at the local comic expo every April, and that exclusives are basically designed to prevent people from buying these toys outside of the US so hasbro can give the toys away almost free to americans on clearance.
I finally gave up, caved, and bought the A-Force figures I wanted for 50 bucks a pop (plus shipping) because "TRU exclusive" means "US exclusive at half off", meaning I gave more money to a scalper for three figures than they did to hasbro for multiples of the entire box set.
On the other hand, I might just be over it because I only need some kind of new Banner and a new MCU costume Hawkeye to finish my avengers set, and I feel like they'll pegwarm this time around. (I didn't know I was supposed to be regularly checking Amazon for an exclusive set last time).
I was lucky enough to run across huge pile of scarlet witch in asia for seventy dollars a pop at the local toys r us equivalent while at a destination wedding, considering the abomination wave never made it to my local store. I guess I could have waited and bought the vision 2 pack from an american scalper instead, but that was two years before I knew the 2-pack was coming.
I guess my only remaining decision is if I buy M'Baku for about 200 bucks online, or if I buy the entire wave for about 300 bucks so they can rot in a box while M'Baku stands on a shelf.
If you don't live in the US, these things cost the same as Japanese imports, except for somehow being harder to find on pegs.
