>>7149331MP primal has paint scratching issues from shitty tolerances, also a lot have misaligned heads that scratch the right antenna during transformation.
MP Cheetor has shoulder joint fragility issues.
MP Dinobot has a self imploding shoulder ratchet that has a 50/50 chance of being on the figure. Some have it, some don't. It's a $250 coin flip.
MP Megatron has paint that flakes off everywhere.
MP Sunstreaker has a windshield hinge that will always stress leaving the alt mode too look like shit unless you baby the figure to an insane degree.
MP ratchet has pain chipping on his feet and panels in alt mode.
MP Hot Rod (the first version) has weak friction knee joints and flaking chrome out of the box.
MP Hot Rodimus Prime has exploding knees.
Basically anything that came out after Tracks has a good chance of having issues, I'm sure more figures are fine than aren't, but a sizeable margin of the production run of each masterpiece figure is plagued with problems, yet Takara keeps raising the prices and doesn't provide replacement parts.
3rd party figures have prices actually coming down, better quality control (in general, companies like KFC and TFC can eat a dick for quality control) and the big name companies like Maketoys, Fanstoys, X-Transbots and KFC will send you replacement parts for a small fee, or sometimes if you are lucky free.
Has/Tak is shooting themselves in the foot with every release having problems and pretty soon they will commit sudoku and the MP line will die. They NEED better customer support, they NEED any amount of customer support beyond the Hasbro Toy Shop saying "You can send it to us and we will give you something of equal value, but fuck us if we know what it will be, perhaps we'll replace that titan class set with 15 copies of legends tailgate."
I love Takara's engineering, I enjoy their product, but the past year i've been quicker to give my dollar to a chinese guy making knockoffs because he backs his product.
