It seems silly that you want to claim that the people who buy into these are somehow ignorant or that a cheaper one is more worth it, because he does seem popular and as always, skill/talent/fanbase allows him to charge more.
It's like when i buy art of just simple drawings and paintings for hundreds of dollars, even for just prints, because of the subject and who the artist is. The objective value is mere single digit whole dollars and up to maybe $30 depending on the material.
You're trying to argue that these artists aren't making something that is worth their value, just because of the actual cost of the materials. Hell, the time spent for a drawing or painting usually a lot less than the time spent into these figures.
