But also, her marks are not full Kabuki, rather just reminiscent of eye markings in Kabuki. Kabuki lines are usually drawn to illustrate expression and thus are not usually as simplistic as hers.
Not to mention the entire rest of her is as far from Kabuki as you can get (from her "hair" to her sillohuette) She's more just an amalgamation of Japanese styles. (kabuki eyes, geisha hair, samurai katana)
which makes me wonder how Japan views her.
It'd be like Takara making a new character who has a cowboy hat, turns into a pickup truck, has a baseball bat for a weapon, and a camo colorscheme then releases it in the US.
