Initially, Winx dolls were made by Mattel (wich are the most popular ones, but also the most common). There were also some european brands like Giochi Presiozi and Simba (these were kinda ugly tho)
When season was 4 released, the contract with Mattel wasn't renewed so there were no Winx dolls in America for a few years.
Then they made a contract with Jakks Pacific, however the distribution was crap, and the fact that Monster High monopolized the doll market at that time did't help either.
Jakks dolls aren't that wanted but they had a low production, which is why prices are crazy nowadays.
Witty Toys is the original manufacturer of the old european winx dolls, but now all the dolls go under their name. Quality is not always the best but they're the only ones who keep releasing winx dolls every new season. As
