Do you ever buy bootleg figures?

I want to get a few of characters I don't care about a bunch, but I don't want to get cancer from Chinese fumes and plastics

I literally just bought a bootleg figure. Supposed to be good for a bootleg, I just hope he isn't too fragile. I could always touch up paint or tighten loose joints but fuck broken joints.

I got a bootleg Link and Syaoran Nendroids, but they looked perfect except for the shield arm being glued into socket in Link and according to some review I saw his face was a slightly different shape. Most of the joints on both are very loose.
I had gotten a set of vocaloid minis that came with a car from an old friend so I assume they're legit, along with an Armin from some anime convention years back. Maybe a bootleg Estelle from ebay but she holds up well.

I've had dreams where I find a lot of rare toys I've been looking for and i carry them to the register and keep getting distracted on the way there. But buy the time I make it to pay a lot of them are missing (or I just end up with one), and what I have is a janky as hell bootleg.

So because of that I get anxiety just at the thought of buying them.

One of my retarded weeaboo friends went to an anime convention and bought a friggin $50 nendoroid for me as a gift, which of course turned out to be cheapass bootleg trash. I didn't have the heart to tell him it was like $10 on ebay. Poor stupid bastard.

The box looked like it had been run off a photocopier, and the figure was wrapped in plastic wrap and reeked like satan's taint. Half the nendo joints snapped the first time I tried to move them, and the paint fumes probably gave me cancer.
