>>7168426Normally people don't want to work in toys so the only ones who get the position are elderly and either don't know any better or are desperate for work. Sometimes you'll find someone who has an interest and knows what they're talking about, but it's rare in my experience. My department is me, an elderly woman and a new guy in his 20s who I'm pretty sure is borderline retarded.
>>7168474You aren't wrong. I've been in toys for under a year and been offered the department numerous times. If we had better managers I'd probably have taken it.
>>7168560The giant ass warehouse is for stocking extra stuff we can't fit on the shelves yet. Most of the time if it's not on the shelf we're actually sold out. My bins for example are filled with overstock (mainly Fisher Price) and stuff we aren't putting out until closer to Christmas.
>>7168621Supposed to be doesn't always mean it's arrived on time. Or that we have room to put it out just yet. Sometimes there are delays.
>>7168666This anon gets it. Mostly. We only have things on pallets while the truck is being unloaded or in the off chance overnight doesn't do their job. Most of the time things are put in the bins, but the amount of boxes there makes looking for something very difficult.
We don't get in trouble for looking through new freight. I've gotten things straight off the truck and put it away for me to buy later more than once.
>>7168800While we have a slew of shit in the back room, it's not organized in any way that would benefit someone looking for a particular item.
The few times I've tried to look the customer wound up leaving before I got back.
