Of course the movies are complicated, but as you said they had time, mpm07 with more time would have been a far more accurate version (which I suspect a later studio series, if continued, may fix this), only need to get a close likeness with concessions to back kibble in acceptable proportions like on the calves
I pray the next mpm after is based on an older movie, starscream or megatron would be ideal though I fear megatron would be the most expensive and costly, both in for consumers and hasbro either being retarded and do him in plastic like the SS or allowing takara to give him the mp bw megs treatment and allow the price to skyrocket which I doubt
