>>7210154Yes, it is totally possible, but your success rate depends on a number of factors. Males and females generally can't share parts at all, unless certain weapons or baggier items like coats just happen to fit. Females have at least 3 different body types, 1.0, 2.0, and 2.0 short. Body parts will not swap between 1 and 2, but clothes might. I'm not sure if 2s and 2 shorts can swap body parts cause I've never owned a shorty. Obviously, short clothes will probably be too small for standard bodies. And if you're attempting clothing swaps between genders, take note that the standard female body is quite a bit taller than the male thanks to their long legs.
For males, there are two body types as far as I know, standard and slim. Hand pegs are compatible between them, but ankle ball size and neck ball size seem to be different. Most clothing is compatible between them, but it may look weird if it's a super fitted piece. Also, the standard male body is pretty much just a modified Hot Toys TrueType, so a lot of Hot Toys parts will work (that's my hint if you're having trouble finding stuff like spare joints!)
Anyway, have fun, cobbling together custom figures from parts can be expensive and frustrating at times but it's also really rewarding when you put together something really cool that's entirely yours.
