He's basically evil Steve Irwin, Croc Hunter. Except he's Russian.
His only ONLY notable storyline is one where he's written 100% out of character, as JD DeMatties retrofitted him into a repeatedly rejected storyline where a villain (either a new villain, Joker, or Hugo Strange depending on which draft you go by) shoots Batman and buries him alive, then cosplays as a violent version of Batman, before Batman gets out of his makeshift grave and defeats him.
Kraven's entire thing is that he's a joke character, who's only good story ended with his death because DeMatties didn't want anyone fucking up Kraven, trying to explain away his OOC shit.
