Sadly you’re right, even then anime that came out 30-20 years ago still has an influx of merch, where as western cartoons that came out 5 or 10 years haven’t gotten anything, even when the internet’s substantially grown their fanbase for certain shows.

Personally I am not too picky about eras as long as it isn't post-S3 meep morp Peridot.
It isn't ideal but it is in a similar scale to the other things I collect and it is probably the best figure we will ever get of her.

I wouldn't say that.
Lapis is a terrible character but after Peridot lost her tech obsession (After that one Amethyst episode) the writers made her into an irritating Scrappy Doo type.
Her only return to form since would be Back the Kindergarten.

Tech less peridot isn’t a bad character per say, she’s still has that meme Doritos charm. The real problem is her significantly shortened presence, even lapis gets more exposure then her in episodes now. Building up peridot and then wanting nothing to do with her is the shows greatest fault.

In season three one of the boarders tried to make their favorite ship (Peridot and Lapis) canon and started revolving all of her episodes around the two living together in a barn.
Without developing their relationship at all they just kind of suddenly became best friends off-screen, started farming crops and making works of art despite both of those things being pretty out of character for them.
They called the art "meep morps" because funny.
The writers are still undoing the damage she managed to do before she got fired.

and while neca is making classic TMNT characters, they seem to be based more on the Fred wolf cartoon, and I’d prefer a line based on the toys designs but with modern articulation and a similar amount of detail and sculpting of the original line.

We have /3/. 3D modeling is easy to start, a lifetime to master, but there are shortcuts.
All the 3Dprinting services.
Hand sculpting is useful too.
Casting and molding is not complex.
Painting, stenciling, stamps, transfers, supplies can all be found in any decent sized city.
Everything needed to scratch build a custom figure is available.

The problem is none of you mean anything ITT.
If someone did set up a workshop where they rapidly make single production action figures of each customer's mai waifu...
everyone would SAY they want one, but NO ONE would be willing to pay.
This thread is just rhetoric born from passing whimsy and built up sexual frustration.
You'll be all for vaporware mai waifus, given the actual fact of being able to purchase one would be praised, but no one would buy anything.
I know this because I'm still $80K in debt from several startups I did 2003 to 2011.
I could set up equipment, contact a few people I know, and have an on-demand action figure workshop operating before the end of the year... except 2 things will prevent it from happening, 1. No institution will approve a loan to me again, 2. None of you would actually buy UR waifu or husbando.

That weird "Euro-anime" stuff from that era is probably my favourite when it comes to Western cartoons. Oban was especially good- IIRC it was a collab between French and Japanese studios, which explains how nice it looked. Also Totally Spies, which whilst not exactly high art was still fun (and also now I look back was essentially a stealth ecchi show).

But yeah, if we got import tier figures of those series I'd be a very happy man. Also maybe He-Man 200X, that was a surprisingly good show.
