Yeah, judging from this one picture, I don't think her makeup was handled well at all. I never saw the recent Ash figures in person, but it looks similar to how they handled the eyes on those too. I'll decide once it hits shelves.

I don't think its really their fault more than its just that there's still really not a 100% confirmed date on anything upcoming.

The new wave is supposed to be the 29th of this month, and there's still the Arcade figures, the Ultimate JH and CH re-releases, the last Kenner Wave re-release, the Golden Angel Elder, the Bad Blood 2-Pack, etc.

It'll all be coming in soon enough.

Agreed, Neca pretty much held off a tidal wave of preds until after the movie was out then gave everything a vague October release date.

No, that's not the reason. People wanted pictures of the three figures together, but he didn't want to do that because people would then start thinking their sets are missing that piece and they'd get a flood of emails they'd have to answer about it because people don't read or pay attention.

They did already have pictures of it before, they were posted here even, but this was months ago and I don't have that image saved.

-Don't buy anything with stock pics.
-Usually, the most telling signs for NECA bootlegs are that the colors are really off, or just missing half of the paint apps.
-Sometimes even the packaging is really off-color too, but that can be hard to tell unless you have the figure in hand.

Found this albino lanklet at 2nd and Charles for 24.99. that completes the Covenant aliens for me. He's pretty alright. Definitely stands out on the shelf. I also like the idea of having aliens in their different evolutionary stages.

By the looks of things, he doesn't even have any of his weapons aside from the sniper rifle.
I guess most of their accessory budget went into Medic, which I guess is the correct allocation. It's not hard to find a 1/12 SMG or Machete, even if they don't fit the art style.

I wish the non-gritting face would have had a more similar look to the Neomorph that interacted with David. The lips on the relaxed face seem a bit overly detailed compared to what I remember. Overall, it's a welcome addition to the collection though, and it gets a ton of bonus points for having really solid joints.

THAT is because these figures aren't based on what we saw in the movie. They changed the design of things and threw on more CGI "love" which altered their looks in the final film. So the NECA figures are inaccurate now, based on earlier looks.

Some customizer I found through google a long time ago. He reshaped the mask with a hair dryer, then filled in all the holes and added more bits to the mask to make it bigger and rounder, he also added a little sculpting to the forehead around the eyes, then re-drilled all the holes smaller, and in the correct spots, since the original had the holes down in the corners in the wrong location.and repaint the chevron on his forehead the right shape and size, and cut out the axe wound more.

The original mask was just so poorly done, like they weren't even trying. The mask was too small, the holes are wrong and drilled too big, like they did it by shoving a ballpoint pen through it over and over. And what makes it worse, is that they sculpted the mask before for the Mego version, and that one actually looked good. So why couldn't they scale it down? Or why couldn't they nail the likeness on the Ultimate? The original release of the Ultimate also had other issues, primarily a loose neck that the head liked to slide up and down on the joint, like it was probably originally from the Mego release, and made to fit on the body.

The jet board is really impressive, nice and big, good detail on the engine.

Buuuuut, there's no stand, and no clear bits on the bottom to lift it off the ground. That's a bummer. I can easily find some clear cubes or something to put under there though, so not a huuuge problem.

Crash is the first figure with a new head. And it's a very good new head, much more manic. Overall, if you already have the first Crash you don't really need this set. Unless you just love Crash Bandicoot.

Yeah, it's a mixed bag for me. Mostly because I'm a sucker for good guy preds, but I don't think I could have handled watching three of them job or these designs.

Wonder what the chances are of neca rereleasing some of the gremlins 2 gremlins along with some new ones.

Off the top of my head I know they did Phantom of the Opera, Lenny, George, and Daffy. Think they did Brain as well.

Vegetable gremlin and the cowboy gremlins killed by John Wayne have never had figures. Not sure on the female gremlin

I have a hard time believing they're just going to drop like a dozen predators over the next couple months, but after the Dark Horse wave releases at the end of the month, my guess is that the 2-pack will probably be next.

Every year except for maybe one or two NECA has put out a Predator 2-Pack and they pretty much always come out in Oct/Nov. I think they usually try to aim to have it widely available by Christmas.

It isn't on NECA's release calendar yet, though, so who really knows.

I finally saw an Ahab in the wild and his right mandible was a completely different color from the rest of his face and also had chipping paint or white smudges on the point where it bends upward. Need one of her relatives with the authority to ok her likeness and need the ok from whoever has the rights to the character to ok its usage for a figure.

As far as the Friday the 13th rights go Neca should be in the clear for now with Jason figures it'll just be the movie rights in a clusterfuck.

Personally I believe the game devs just used it as a golden scapegoat to get out of producing dlcs seeing as they were well ready to move on by the time they were halfway through the dlcs they did release.

FUUUUUU So my BBTS Ahab came with the same bent arm although not as bad as others here but has some other QC issues. Left bicep swivel sheared off completely. The hose connecting the shoulder the chest piece came off as well like everyone else. I was able to glue the hose back in after cutting out the hole with an exacto but I don't think Im ok with losing the swivel on the right arm. Should I contact BBTS or NECA directly at this point?

That hose is meant to come off. It's designed this time to pop free instead of breaking. It just pops into the holes.

PG-13 horror films have been a thing since the rating has been a thing and there was always a glut of PG-13 horror films many of which sold well. If you comb over it, pg-13 horror films of the 80s and 90s are 3 to 1 of the R rated ones. I think the one anon hit it on the head and it's just the majority of general audiences just wised up and wait for the Netflix/hulu steam to show up than to spend $8+ to see the film with a bunch of strangers, thus you are left with bottom of the barrel shits that don't care they are disturbing and loud.

PG-13 could get away with way more back then, though.

Fuck, the PG-13 rating came about because of Gremlins, of all movies, which was originally rated PG. But a movie where people get brutally murdered by little monsters, as well as the monsters themselves being stabbed, burned, blown up, and chopped up in blenders was a bit too much for PG.

Part 2 is a better all around figure, but you really need both because then you can swap and interchange heads between the two figures. However Part 3 has a slightly larger chest to accommodate the gimmick swapping chest feature, where as the Part 2 is a regular Freddy with a slimmer chest.

Thanks! There are no FYEs in Alaska sadly, but I can keep an eye in our three Target stores and the odd GameStop. In the meantime, I managed to snag OG Ultimate Freddy from that Target down the street on clearance for $17.99. I guess it was due to box damage, but what looked like parts of the print torn off was actually adhesive with stuff stuck to it, so it's basically perfect. The other full-price one was bent up and dinged on the box funnily enough.

The eye feature is something that could've been tweaked, but it works fine (though I suggest keeping the plastic tab it comes with, get the eyes where you want them then stick it back in to keep them stuck). Other than THAT, it's great! If you care about accuracy the ears are only true to Gremlins 2, so the G1 faceplates are "off" in that regard, but it's a cute, well done Gizmo with all the accessories the other figures had. And all the faceplates swap easily.

You can't go wrong.

Easily the best Pennywise yet.
However, the "big reveal" is gonna be next week.
