To this anon looking to take outdoor pictures acid rain is you're best bet the gritty look to them is super photogenic, their pose ability is about as good as it gets in this scale, and there's a few different styles you can choose from (although nothing outside of soilders, mostly gas masks)

Yeah, I'm gonna be disappointed if these don't make it to retail. Ouying Studios was doing the design work for an Alternate WWI line that looks to be vaporware as well. That one really stings.

That’s what I originally thought but I saw that B2Five logo back there and got paranoid.

I literally check the status of my bike preorders everyday. So hype, can’t wait, also can’t wait for the females and Marine reissues later this year.

Basically all of the new stuff being shown is on my radar, Acid Rain is my current favorite toy line

That’d be pretty sweet. I’m on a real kick right now where all I keep wanting to buy are more Acid Rain and Marauders stuff. Maybe it’s because I grew up with GI Joes and Star Wars Toys but there’s just something about fidgeting with 1:18 figures that makes them addicting, especially anything modular where you can mix parts and accessories.

TL:DR - Guy criticizes BFS faces on the FB group, BFS responds in the most SJW way possible. I think the problem on that face is mostly it's eyes are too aligned to the center it makes it look derp

I'm really on the fence when it comes to female armor. On the one hand, boob cups would be disasterous in combat so I don't like them. On the other, I'd still like some femininity to the sculpt to differentiate them, especially at this smaller scale. I feel like the mythic legions female knight sculpt does a pretty good job of hitting a middle ground.

Though I'm sure the hurdle of starting the company has been covered by now. They even moved and I got that feeling that the quality effort and professionalism is headed downward. Wasn't expecting this, but I am in suspense (in a good way). Never really had a Boss Fight figure, and thought that all head pegs were uniform to the 1/18 scale, since swapping AR heads with Joe heads were a non-issue.

Well that just looks... dandy. At the top of my head, I'm thinking to just shorten the "neck" on that barbell looking peg and bind both ends closer together, unless there are sources for 3rd party ball joint pegs. Gunpla maybe, but it's a stretch.

Or shorten the barbell. Which is hard but possible, I did it to fit a marauders head into one of these zombie lab guys. I cut the plastic drilled tiny holes in each ball with my dremel to put a metal "dowel"in there to give glue more to hold onto.

It worked out but I'm still not sure how fragile my neck joint is, so I don't remove his head in fear it will break and have a ball in each socket and no way to get it out

I used acrylic paint to paint the pistol grip and handguard of a couple hasbro's AK47 in brown but when I tried to have a figure to hold it, the paint just rubbed off. Admittedly the acrylics I used were kind of cheap. Is it just a matter of the paints used or is there something else to consider? If I use testors or tamiya am I going to be rub off free?

Once everything arrives, we will pack up all the orders and ship them to our backers. We are working to have all the Kickstarter pre-order packages shipped by the end of November. As mentioned, there is a HUGE number of new items in this release, so we are doing our best to get all items in stock and out the door as quick as possible. I have literally over 5000 figures, so i have to be selective.
12" figures are going to take up 2x more room than a 6" figure and 3x more room than 1:18. Limited space, yo.

Since i ditched almost all of my 1:6 dollies, it also means they're not really going to be displayed with anyone and not even be played with beyond just posing them.
I'm already hesitant on buying 1:12 scale figures, because most of my collection is in 1:18, but i still have 1:12 figures they can be played with.

Basically, if i can play with them, and for them not to be just poseable statueshit, I'm buying them. Despite how cool these are, I always just buy something else instead.

Is there anywhere I can get 1/18 weapons other than Marauders? Don't get me wrong, I really respect what they do, but all the stuff I've bought from them just feels a little too small for most of my figures, and somehow....flat. There's no "oomph" to their guns.

Rifles are a lot smaller than you think.

As for being "flat"... they pretty much are most of the time. They're thin boxes everywhere but the barrel. People make complaints about the ergonomics of various guns as holding a cereal box.

Have you tried MGR older series of weapons or just the new ones? There are some older series that are just fantastic. Has released plenty of figures that come with a small little armory. Cobra Viper, Shock Trooper, Combat Ninja Trooper, Steel Brigade, Gi Joe Trooper, Retaliation Lady Jaye are some that come to mind. They may run a little higher but they are worth it just because of all the weapons they come with.

A competitor would be nice true. I just recently got some Marauders guns and I fucking love them, the detail and quality is top notch, but they were meant to be used with ARAH figures and it shows on their tiny pistol grips, they need to update them for modern bigger hands.

Well here is the thing. Zartan prices are going to skyrocket. That figure will more than likely go over 200 easily after its gone from the club. My Heartwrencher is going for over $200. So if you have any interest in the figure it would be wise to get. Later on if you dont want it you can make a nice little profit. That is just how the market works. You can work it to your benefit. $100 in the bank is not going to grow 200% in a year.

Zartan's going to go a for a lot on ebay, sure, but how much of that is because you'd have to list it at minimum $120 to break even? And how many are going to flood the market because everyone buys them up because of Heartwrencher? This version of Zartan is cool but hardly an essential figure. I can see them sitting on ebay at $150 each and not selling.

Yes because comparing a mass retail line of super successful movies is the same as a collectors line that produces a small amount of figures. So low production numbers plus no retail presence of GI Joe means collectors will pay premium prices for joe products. That is how every market works. But the problem here is that the face sculpt was fugly. After that, it's really their own fault for not being professional and alienating their customers. They could have made a promise to look into doing a new head for future re-releases (meaning, not do anything). Actually redoing the head due to customer feedback. On a separate topic, Ross has the JL vehicles for cheap. They are for the bigger 6 inch figures but actually work better for 1:18 figures. I picked up the flying command center for 19.99. With a little TLC, you can make a sweet troop transport for your Cobra or Iron Grenadiers.

Ok starting up the project again this morning
This is the tail of the vehicle. It has a door but no actual doorway into the fuselage. So i need to made a doorway both in the tail and the piece that is part of the fuselage which connects to the tail. Ill post my results soon.
