>>7211187>No, that's what got us in this shit in the first place.Nah, what got us into this shit is that the people behind Transformers fiction, for whatever reason, can't or won't get behind the idea that the Transformers are robots. Aside from possibly the G1 cartoon writers.
So rather than having lifeless robots who were built and imbued with an AI/Mind/Personality via a super-computer, we have things like Budding, Sparks (Souls) which are naturally harvested (instead of programmed) and so on. And instead of being built by aliens via advance robotics and AI programming, we have the god Primus, with his 13 apostles, and one of those apostles is Judas (the Fallen). With Unicron going from a giant robot to becoming robot Satan. The closest we got to a non-religious explanation to TFs in the comics are the naturally occurring gears and pulleys version (which I sort of like).
Then came the live action movies and now Transformers aren't even robots anymore, because the movies focus more on the Transformers being ALIEN robots. By this point, the Transformers don't even seem to have any technology anymore. They have powerful ancient artifacts but weaponry are derived from their natural "biology". In Prime, they even explain that they couldn't fix Bumblebee's voice because it was "cyber biology". Meanwhile, the comics are just ham-fistedly shoving LGBT into the franchise. It was cute and awesome when it was just one or two couples, but suddenly, everyone's gay.
So, tl;dr, People in charge of TF fiction are unable or unwilling to separate their personal biases from TF, so now TFs are no longer transforming Robots from the planet, Cybertron, but are almost all Gay Space-Christian Aliens .
