It's great that some companies are trying to give joints to animal toys, there's too many static ones already.

Clearly the engineering needs some more work. If they keep at it, and maybe get some competition, I could see them being pretty decent in a few years.

Also, what is that piece above its back?

That's the revoltech. Probably the best articulated horse you can buy. The gaps unfortunately just come standard for the line.

That piece is so you can swap out the neck of the horse and stick the torso of another figure onto it to make a centaur.

i always thought it looked really janky in pics compared to the figma horse. I dont have the figma so i'm not sure if the articulation is any better.

The Revo horse has more articulation and (from pics I’ve seen) looks more realistic in terms of posing. Figma horse has less POA in comparison and so it makes posing a little weird at some areas. Namely the elbows and knees. GSC cut corners by not adding articulation for the actual elbow and knees of the horse, opting instead for giving articulation to the main areas of the limbs. Yeah, the Revo horse looks kinda weird, but has a better range of posing from all those POA.

Seeing this shit makes me wish NECA had released their horses for the Lone Ranger movie.

.. which were 1:18 scale, same as Boss Fight's.
