Finally got my Gotenks. After all the hype, it's okay. I wish he came with the base head and SSJ3. I wonder who made the decision to make the Galactic Donut. Wouldn't it be cheaper to make the base head? I'm satisfied with it. I just hope we get Goten and Trunks to complete the set.

The new one looks like it's using the SS3 body with the Saiyan Raised on Earth belt. Which would be accurate to the movie. ASRoE has a smaller v-neck like he did in the first half of DBZ. The new movie has the larger v-neck that he started wearing in the Androids Saga.

Why is that hilarious? Super Trunks is the character at his best. Z Trunks became a jobber after his debut. Super Trunks worked his way up to SSB Goku/Vegeta's level without the benefit of a special ritual or training from Whis/Beerus. Just through sheer will and determination he achieved his own god-like form and was the only to destroy Zamasu's physical form after even SSB Vegito failed. Super Trunks is based as fuck and will be my definitive Trunks.

No, Mystic Gohan was strong and he was a shit character. After slacking off he had a power up gifted to him for doing nothing. Trunks is a good character because he's been through some serious shit. His world has been fucked two times over. His friends and family have been killed. He's gotten his ass handed to him again and again. And yet he never gave up. He kept fighting, kept trying to rise above it all, and when he eventually did reach a high enough level to punish the people who made his life a living hell it felt earned. It just pisses me off that it didn't end up being enough and Goku had to save the day with his deus ex machina button.

Is it though? He fought the gods repeatably as well as fought alongside Saiyans using god ki. It's not much of a stretch that he learned to tap into god ki through his repeated exposure (seeing as his aura does have god ki properties), albeit in a different manner than Goku and Vegeta do, which is why he retains the yellow color.

A base head would have been nice, but I don't feel cheated owning the figure. I mean a kamiakze ghost, with a special stand attachment a galactic doughnut effect piece with it's own special stand attachment along with 3 different face plates and hands. Feels like I got the bang for my buck

That's on top of the fact ankle range on 90% of these releases is trash. The fact Bulma...a non-combatant has the best articulation in the entire fucking line is just...fuck. I'm starting to get pissed off at Bandai here.

I'm really hoping the SS Xeno head works so I can have a normal SS Trunks on that body. SS Rage hair is very much it's own thing, even though I can't say I remember there being much of a difference in the actual show. I certainly don't remember it being so big.

Base smiling is good, but Trunks, a survivor of a world which has been fucked twice over, isn't someone I generally associate with smiling. I can't see getting much use out of that face. It'd be fine if he had as many faces as his original figuarts, but with only 2 base faces it really should have been neutral.

Not really, now im just deciding which ones to get first before their prices go up. Im gonna get tien, yamcha, golden frieza, and majin vegeta next. Maybe nappa and super vegeta too since it looks like they'll increase in price as well. If 1.0 can be forced on, then the Xeno heads should have no problem seeing as they use a bigger ball. Face swapping any of the prior faces onto the Super heads is definitely a no go though as the pegs were inverted from being on the faces to being on the hair. I don't understand why they don't just keep it consistent between releases. It gives me more motivation to buy variants when their parts can be shared.

Are you sure that's not just an illusion created by the thicker black outlines around the eyes on Majin Vegeta? Also, it could be that on Super Vegeta, they just laid down the white and outlined the eyes with a thin black, while for Majin Vegeta, they put a full layer of black down, and then put the white of the eyes over it which makes the whites seem a bit darker.

Technically. The peg on armored Trunks is a bit bigger, so you're going to ruin the Xenoverse Trunks' head socket, but yes, you can make it fit and as long as you're okay with that head not fitting on the old body very well anymore.
