They still aim for the heroic, ideal body proportions instead of realistic, real life proportions of a person in a thick rubber suit. Just so it looks better as a toy. And easier to pose and place in joints.
The head is smaller, hands and feet are bigger, etc. Something like RAH, usually the 1/6 stuff, are more focused on trying to look lifelike including body balance.
