The issue is that in the heady rush of creating a new thread, anon often decides to make a new challenge.

The only way to avoid this is to have one autistic anon make every thread, like how we used to do it before TLM.

Unfortunately a horrible design. Mostly due to the wings not being attached to the dragon. Fright Knights always felt like a "let's slap some surplus pieces together" theme. But Time Cruisers really takes the cake in that regard.

how many sets utilize this same design? Cuz I swear I had like 3 through my life.

I have mad nostalgia for the design, but always hated how easily the roll bar always came off.

The recent ATV design seems to be the update to this idea.

Anon last thread mentioned /co/. It's not even the "black" they use for characters like Mace Windu, it's the lighter shade they use for I think Kanan from Star Wars? I don't really keep up with fleshies, they may have several different shades at this point. Either way fuck those guys, it's a fig voiced by Rosario Dawson. I've got zero problems.

Yes, the worst thing is, I had a prefered minifigure. I gave him too. So even if I find another clone minifigure, he'll never be the SAME minifigure... does that make sense?

I'm thinking about contact the person who I gave the stuff, and pay a little bit of money to them to buyback the donated stuff for a good price. (lol)

Same with Catwoman. Declarations of /swj/ conspiracy but it's probably a nod to Eartha Kitt from the 60s version. I keep meaning to buy more of this head. I like the goggles bit similar to the Ninjago movie GIT girl. Shame about the purple, limits it's usefulness a bit. Works for a scientist with full body scrubs, I guess? I mostly like it because of the similarities to the CMF Garmadon gal. Guess I got a waifig now.

Depends, is it some collector? somebody that was buying toys for themselves? might be worth a try. Or maybe you can just buy back that favorite minifig.

I feel lucky. My childhood legos sat in a suitcase in a basement waiting for me, a bunch of old town and space sets still with boxes.

Does anyone have experience in getting an employee discount from someone in store? Tomorrow is my birthday and due to a head injury last year thats put me out of work and my wife being laid off I won't be able to get the set I wanted. I'm a little bummed because I've been collecting cans for months to get it but now I have to use that for bills.

Trying to mod this Cap tank and throw a sawblade in front of the tank atrached to the underside of the main cannon(replacing the cannon), but I cannot think of what blade or propeller piece would scale well with it. Could anyone with this set and any spare propellers try something? Would a 5 length propeller be too big? What about a 20 tooth gear?

Seems like a lot of Ninjago sets are normally priced expensive due to vehicles and dragon builds and whatnot. Still some cheap ones, of course, but it always felt like they leaned towards more expensive sets. I could be wrong, and easily. Ninjago isn't really my thing.

Yeah, that rumbles my space jimmies, too. It'd be nice to have a full array of spacemen without dino damage even if it meant benny was in a separate set, which he is anyway. Still it's a cheap option for him without buying his damn spaceship. I think after that the double decker couch in wave 2 was the only other option until Dimensions.

The first movie was so well received that Lego knows they have a surefire winner on their hands. Even if the new movie ends up not doing as well as the first one in terms of box office, they know customers will queue up for the sets before the movie is released.The real crazy thing to ponder is that there will likely be a second wave of sets and another series of CMFs.

It would be weird if Dad / Lord Business didn't pop up in the sequel if only for a cameo, but the sequel will probably begin with Finn entering his "dark age" and having a hard time seeing his kid sister slowly take over Bricksburg. They'll both eventually realize that there's no one "right" way to play with LEGO® toys, and Finn will learn that maybe you're never too old to play with LEGO®.

Pretty much the lesson we already suspected before it came out. Brother vs sister, and instead of men are from mars, women from venus, they in entirely different star systems. Finn the Boy apparently is happy enough with exciting war torn Bricksburg, playing rough and with violent stories. Apparently happy with the state of affairs after his sister's Duplo invasion. Well if that anon's guess is correct then Finn basically runs Bricksburg (presumably riding his dad like Master Blaster). He won and may have kept some of the Duplo monsters for himself. The point is they've basically split up. He's kept Bricksburg in ruins while she built something for herself, nice if a tad boring for being so normal. General Mayhem showing up is throwing them in the mix again.

This was my favorite terrestrial vehicle for YEARS. I remember getting it and then later that day hanging out in a hospital waiting room unable to open it because I didn't want to risk losing any pieces. I remember Ross Perot was on the TV.

I actually put it back together a few years ago and just disassembled it a few months ago. The lights and the sound brick both work perfectly.

I don’t usually post, have been lurking here for about two years and have maybe made two posts in that timeframe but recent reveals about TLM2 sets have convinced me to make this post.
The question is simple – how do you guys see the addition of a pink classic space astronaut? Personally I dislike it – not because of the color but because of the lack of the other colors that we had in the original batch. Simply put – having the pink astronaut in the set means you don’t get either regular blue (not Benny), red or black. To me that’s a disappointing situation as I’d have loved either one of the three to be included.
Now – I’m not saying pink is wrong – I would have been 100% okay with them having a pink one IF they had already brought back all of the classic colors. Right now, I fear we might not get some of them and it’s a shame we lost one type for this odd anomaly.
And no, this is not nostalgia or “purism” – I didn’t grow up with CS, I didn’t have any CS sets and have only gotten into old space themes about two years ago. So please don’t lump my argument/concerns on the count of nostalgia or autism.
How do you guys feel? Do you think they will give us the other three colors in the future? I hope they didn’t mold that helmet again just for two classic color types.

I'm actually looking forward to the pink spaceman (soon to be woman) as she'll be army built and commanded by Galaxy girl anyways. Add in all these pink friends colors and pieces and it's a story that kinda writes itself. Tag on the upcoming ragnablok, the fact I've been restructuring/updating my beloved Blacktron forces, buying up old figs I haven't been able to find for years and this post apocalyptic TLM2 as well as the Ninjago apoc stuff and my city, hell my entire lore itself, becomes shiny and new. The new sky police and couple of fire sets, plus that combine transport means 2019 is going to break my pockets. Shits going to be cash though.

The way I view it is, if you want some classic astronauts, you can already buy them on bricklink, because they already exist. Adding a new color of astronaut is a net win for everyone, because it's a color that didn't exist before. Even though the presence of a pinkstronaut theoretically "stops" another color from being included in this new set, it doesn't negate the existence of the thousands of CS minifig torsos, helmets and airtanks that already exist.

While it would be nice if the pack was a straight 5:5 reproduction of the original five CS figs, we're probably going to see them at some point in the future. Remember that the black CS minifig was re-released (with a modern-style motorcycle helmet, granted) a few years ago, so mint-condition versions are becoming available for a not-unreasonable price.

Who knows, maybe some of the CMFs will be Classic Space dudes in original colors. Point is, IMO more variation is better than more of the same.

On one hand yeah, I agree, would have liked a brand new black one. On the other, new colors are nice too, and I've got plans for this one.

The reception on other sites seems to be HOLY FUCK IMA BUY A TRILLION ON DAY ONE so hopefully it will lead to getting more CS, including the classic colors.

As other people have said, I see it as a good thing. First off, it's a colour we haven't had before. Which means not only does Lego know these guys are still highly regarded, they're also testing the market waters for "new" versions.

The number of people excited for this set that are adults posting in the forums, either because they're completionists, nostalgiaing, or space fans, whatever, we may army-build this set.

Meanwhile, even without the lego movie, boys will buy this set for the army men, and parents will buy this "boy space" set for girls because "oh, I guess you want the pink one".

Altogether, assuming they didn't hold the red and black ones back for the CMF line, the fact that the internet is over the moon for this set already means that it should sell really well.

And if Ninjago is anything to go buy, Lego renews and makes new sets based on high-selling properties.

My earnest question to you, Anon, is do you think people would have been so polarized by the new colour if it had been anything but pink? Purple, Orange, Grey, Green?

My personal belief is that the "girly" colour doesn't sit right with some folks, and it's not quite about the new colour but the choice of colour.

I can - and have bought over 30 of the red ones by now - problem is the quality is bad unless you buy MISB boxes and unbox them. Not all are terrible but most are in poor shape (not necessarily print but parts are old and there's not going around that).
Adding a new color is a net win but not getting the old ones feels like a loss to me. I hope you are right and we see them all in the future.

Honestly I think that people wouldn't have been so polarized. All of the colors you've listed seem to me to be a better variant, but I dislike pink and associated colors and honestly find no use for the new spaceman although I see how others might love it.
It's not even the "girly" - it's just a color I think doesn't fit with the line in my view of it - along with purple, light or dark brown and lime green. Those feel off to me.

Forgot to add for a better, clearer view. I regret the Benny figure in the pack just as much as I do the Pink Spaceman. I find them equally upsetting in terms of taking up a regular CS astronaut revival chance.
That's to clarify the pink vs any other color dispute.

I dislike Benny because they had to ruin the helmet.

It bothers me about as much as the Cuuso mechsuit green astronaut and the CMF lightbluish gray CS torso. Wich is nothing at all really. Especially since this one actually has a new 'old' style helmet wich is dope.
Point is, if they remade the og colours, you would just have more of the same but with newer prints and newer colours might never have been made. If you get a new colour, you can still find the og colours and have both. I'd only make a seperate argument for them making more white CS figs as those tended to discolour quite horribly.

However I'm biased. My favourite colours are all shades of pink through purple and i use those a lot in MOCs. I understand your argument about not using primary colours for classic space though. The LEGOLAND flag was red yellow blue white and black for a reason. Hell, the absolute die-hard modernism purist in my thought green was already a bit too far and the gray torso (despite being bluish gray) was the only good addition as they already made those old motorcycle helmets in gray.

But for me, because of my own personal childhood, the pink space suit is/was a big gap that completes a set.

(Although I wouldn't mind purple to finish the rainbow colour spectrum either.)

It's a neat little detail in TLM and it makes sense for his figs are broken like in the movie.

This was my first ever set.
