>>7271825The original sucked in every way possible. It was not original. It was a salad of awful anime cliches, which even Del Toro admitted as if it was a positive. The fights were not competent. They were short, stiff, had terrible choreography, and absolutely no attention to physics at all. The Jaegers had zero weight, zero momentum, and zero impact. It looked like a kid smashing toys together. The movie absolutely was focused on its shitty human characters, maybe you need to rewatch. It took itself very seriously. Literally everything in your post is wrong.
Uprising had better animation, better choreography, better physics, better variety of concept, better scenarios. It did everything that actually matters bigger and better than the first.
Every Kaiju movie since Pacific Rim has been better. Even Rampage has far better action.
