If you describe them as "my childhood" you're just going to regret in a few years when you've forgotten you sold them, go looking for them, and then remember with a rush of pained nostalgia. You'll scramble to remember what you spent the money on and you won't be able to recall, and you'll just feel disgusted with yourself for giving away a reminder of something you loved, of happy childhood memories, for pennies and storage space.
