Sure, TF has its roots in diaclone but that doesn't mean everybody actually knows that. When somebody is looking for a TF thread, they are looking specifically for TF characters. You're argument of "if they don't know because they don't see Optimus" is retarded because most of these threads don't even open with Optimus or any flagship character for that matter, but they do open with a character that is recognizable as a TF character, not something that looks like a generic construction robot.
