A toy bought over the internet meets their new shelf-mates, and determines that they have to go back to where their old owner. One from the "new owner's" collection tags along trying to get the new arrival to come back. After about an hour or hi-jinks, they arrive at the old place to see that the entire collection has been sold and there is literally nothing left for the protagonist. The climax takes place in a USPS sorting facility as they're trying to figure out what boxes are going where, and they manage to locate one heading "home" and cut their way into the box. USPS sees the damaged box and gives zero fucks. They get back, happy ending, whatever. The "lesson" is that change isn't something you should be afraid of, and should be embraced.
