I generally hate the slapdash "weathering" they're doing with this line but this is one of the least offensive I've seen so far. I also have no idea who Sixgun really is, but his colors kinda make him look like a Brave series robot, which I dig.

He's barely a character. He's a robot that was originally made from all the guns from Metroplex and white chunk of plastic.

Unlike Scamper, who's had a few appearances and speeching roles, Sixgun only has one in a manga.

As much as I love the new Prime look, his "Shape" wasn't really my favorite. I messed with his proportions a bit. I like this more IMO.

I went to the Target on one side of town, got all the Seige guys except Skytread, but I already had him. $107, total, + tax. Didn't need to stop at the Target on the other side of town but did anyway. No Siege, but a sign that said "buy $100+ worth of toys, get $25 off." FFFF the other store didn't say that! BUT the first employee i saw after i read the sign was a manager

I really don't mind it in person.

Sideswipe has become kind of my favorite from the wave and I hadn't even planned to get him. But his sculpt is so nice, especially his face, and all his red paint and his tidy little transformation, he's just really nice.

He's not named in the movie. Chances are his name got changed at the last second because someone realized that killing off Starscream in the first movie of a potential reboot was a bad idea.

I doubt Travis Knight would be dumb enough to try to kill Starscream either, so it was probably studio pressure for the Decepticons to all die because "it's transformers and the bad guys have to blow up"

I've been having the same issue with Hound's backpack. It's that crappy soft plastic. It doesn't grip very well. Peg tabs work on friction from the slot being ever so slightly smaller, but here one or both parts are too slick and spongy to grab so they just pop back out.

As they are black plastic, it should be somewhat easy to remove the paint from the shins with 91% rubbing alcohol lightly applied to a cotton swab. Only thing that gives me pause is that the hinge is very close to the painted red vehicle bit.

Same ease of removal on the waist, probably.

Unfortunately, the silver-painted feet also have some wear applied, looks like pencil scribbles. Could possibly just silver spray paint over them.

Pretty sure the Cybertron Seeker that looks like Starscream is meant to actually be Starscream, the red and gray guy from the trailer that attacks Bumblebee on Earth is Blitzwing.

I'm still of the opinion that they should have just changed his appearance a bit more (tan and purple wouldn't be that hard), but I'm told that's one of the most major missteps of the movie. That's pretty good considering the track record.

So how does Cog work in-universe? I assume him and Sixgun are no longer avatars of their Titans, so they are a Cybertronian who’s consumed Energon stores in like a tank in every joint of their body to function as a weapon? Does each part have a mind, or are they functionally dead unless put back together? Does the Energon only keep their brain alive, and the rest of their body take conventional ammo? Is he more useful as a soldier or a gun for soldiers, since most of their weapons are fueled by their food source and so being out of ammo would also mean starvation among the troops? Why do the Autobots have guys who turn into guns but the Decepticons don’t, given that it seems like more of a militaristic thing to do? What’s the politics between City-speakers and the gun-buddies of Titans?

So far I've only got Cog and Flywheels, but on the latter, it's actually really nice. It's silver, so it just looks like scratched-off paint, and it adds some variety to what is otherwise a pretty bland brown little tank. Cog has a bit on his arms, but it's so minor it may as well not even be there.

Honestly the figures it looks worst on are Optimus and Megatron.

Which was clearly based on the model sheet, and it's also clear they thought the backpack should be much smaller. They didn't make the backpack huge for accuracy, they did it because something had to be compromised in order to achieve the toon-accurate look they were going for.

Got the Loudpedal version of the mold, it's definitely the runt of the masterpiece carbots, but it's a pretty good mold. Only areas you'll probably have to worry about for paint chipping is where the roof clips into the body and that bending joint by the arm-wheels

It's honestly not that bad: the arms can be a little annoying to position at first, but otherwise the transformation's pretty easy to figure out: most outright complex bits are the legs and fiddling the back into position.

As for size, at it's head it's around the size of a small voyager, but the backpack gives it a little more height.

That's what I immediately thought when I looked at the pic, and they kinda do, but it's not a great connection. You have to have the brown one's arms roughly in robot mode position for the width to be right, and it's not super stable because I'm not seeing how any of the arms peg onto the bodies in this position. Looks designed to do it though, it's not just a coincidence there are pegs and corresponding holes there.

So the producer of Bumblebee said:
1) It isn’t a reboot.
2) He’s not really sure what a reboot is, he just doesn’t like the word.
3) They aren’t concerned with what happened before or analyzing what worked and what didn’t, just doing what works for each movie in that movie.
4) Unicron is unappealing because he is unrelatable, it may happen but not anytime soon.

So basically its confirmed as a soft reboot, and they won’t make Rodimus a thing for quite some time.

I'm confused about the continuity between RotF and DotM.

Did The Fallen even know about Sentinel Prime? Megs clearly did because the Decepticons were dicking around on the Moon shortly after The Arc was discovered by humans, but he acted so loyal you'd think another Prime being "alive" would raise some alarms.

Positive emotions, attachment, and smalltime easily defeated badguys instead of epic stakes and a cast of dead good guys longer than the dead badguys.

Dude doesn’t seem to think too hard about what he’s about to say before he says it.

I agree that you need time to become attached to the cast before you kill someone off so it actually has some meaning of any kind, and you need to end a continuity with Unicron unless you intend to progress on to something like a western Devil Z afterwards.
