>>7282407Happily, the wing construction is completely revised from the TFA TIE! The black panels are a rigid plastic (with only a little flex so they aren''t brittle) that's completely unlike the softer plastic they used for the TFA's wings. They're nice and straight!
What's interesting is that all of the grey framing on the wings is a very soft, almost rubber like plastic. Obviously this is to blunt the edges of the black panels, but surprisingly even though the grey frame uses such a soft plastic, the mold detail on the grey areas is super sharp.
So yeah, the wings are a massive improvement over the TFA TIE's, and I'm really happy with 'em!
>>7282417Underscaled like the TFA TIE's! I compared the Solo and TFA TIEs directly just now, and the wings are the exact same height, while the Solo wings are just a smidgen wider.
The Solo wings kind of appear larger than the TFA though, and I think that's because the Solo TIE doesn't have those power packs circling the wing roots which make the TFA's wings seems a little shorter than they are. They look really good in-hand!
>>7284149Personally I just was periodically checking the listing so it was dumb luck that I managed to get him, heh. And yeah, the Assault Tank is awesome but the original asking price was unreasonable for what you get (especially since they didn't even include a figure).
