>>7294243Black Cat is in a costume so many people disliked that they changed it back. And it’s a Slott design
Silver Sable has the dinky guns from Domino, and hopefully her QC is better than Lady Deadpool, who she shares almost all her parts with. Fingers crossed she’s not bent out of shape. Honestly she’s the highlight of the wave besides Puma
Puma reuses lots of Jackal. He’s pretty decent and the head sculpt makes up for the weird buck choice but I’ll admit that his size is subjective and he’s a decent looking figure
Red Goblin looks okay at best. Would’ve like to see his glider considering he’s all reuse except for his tail and head. He looks “okay” because it’s not awful but I wish they hadn’t stayed so “faithful” to the comic design where he has red highlights on black parts. It would be like painting a Symbiote Spider-Man Blue/gray.
Speaking of, Symbiote Spider-Man’s design did not translate well to a figure. His eyes look goofy which sucks because some of the artists did okay with the design and some didn’t. Would’ve liked to see a different head sculpt, is all, but totally solvable with the previous Symbiote head.
Night Thrasher isn’t garbage but he could’ve used more red parts. They picked one of his laziest designs to save on paint. He comes with a skateboard though so that’s something.
And then there’s six arm Spidey. It’s garbage. They resculpted a movie spidey for no reason, and ditched ab articulation. On a Spiderman. We’ve seen dozens of customized make it work and frankly I think most people would’ve preferred function over slavery to the original design. It’s garbage and because it has sculpted web lines, Hasbro cheaped out on paint. McDonald’s level effort.
All in all, okay wave. Not great, and definitely not at the level of the past, like, five Spider-Man waves. But it’s okay.
