I don't know why all of you expected great things of this theme. It's not a great game, the fanbase is shit, and kids don't really seem to like it. I'd rather there was a different licensed theme to be honest, though preferably none at all.

If you’re wondering why Lego took down a couple of leakers’ accounts it’s because I screenshotted them and sent them to Lego, some of the leaks are even illegal.

Really? Saying where the picture of the leaked minifigure is located? I’ll have you know that’s illegal. These leaked minifigures are stolen from factories and sold to these Instagramers and some of them (like ninja whip) sell them profiting off of stolen property. Despicable. And then the community turns a blind eye just so they can get what they want. BAKA.

Oh and in case there’s any doubt I’ve had multiple Lego employees confirm this for me.

I'm gonna get this set anyway, but would this set work in a somewhat grounded but wacky city? I only have like 3 sets for it (only 2 are buildings) since I just got out of my grey ages, I think it'd work well as a themed coffee shop with a few slight modifications (like changing around minifigs)
Also I'm glad Bad Cop is back in some form, even if not as a voiced character in the movie

I think if i got this it would'nt remain as such for long, some elements look 'fine' for an apocalyptic setting - but others just look unfinished such as the method of the figures getting to the next floors.

The statue of liberty segment feels like it could be worked into the design more - instead it kind of takes up the top corner.

I live in apartament. Usually there is only 1 room for toys - the room with bed and PC. but that room is not the "sleeping room" from american movies - much smaller. The other room is for TV and the other is kitchen. + tiny room for toilet and bathroom.

I hear you about the dust problems. When I lived in that apartment it was close to a main road, and I got so much dust from that. Super annoying because in summer it was so hot, so I wanted to have the windows open, but that meant lots of dusting to do each week.
I live in a different place now which is a lot nicer, dust is less of a huge problem, but I still get dust all over my klocki that I have set up on one of my tables as display. I also store my klocki in plastic shelving which is useful to keep dust away but also useful as an organizer.
But I also have this nice little secret space that is built into a wall of the kitchen which is another place I store lego sets I've built. I like being able to keep the dust off. That thing you bought to store your klocki in is cool. And I like that you own the huge mammoth and building in the lower left looks great too.

Originally my plan was to buy one of those cans that has compressed air in it and use that to blow away dust on my sets but a few days ago a few anons posted info about how that can potentially cause cracks in the bricks, coz of the really cold air - which I didn't think of, but I can understand how that would happen.

Now I am probably going to purchase a cheap hand-held fan like the one in the picture - it has good reviews on amazon and is a cheap price so it seems like the right thing for the job.

Just buy one of these.
I use a $1 one that i got from Home Depot for my /tg/ models and it works great. I replaced it like once in the past ten years.
It's delicate enough that it won't fuck up my hand painted shit and will get into every nook and cranny.

Airanything can't blow away all the dust and that dust that sticks on will accumulate overtime, which means you'll eventually have to physically dust your stuff anyway.

Buy an air purifier too. Any $60 shit will work. Keep that next to your shelf when you dust it every month or two to catch all the dust you'll be brushing off.
Takes a whole ten minutes for two bookcases, so don't be lazy.

They do clean up the air and help with smells, but with noticeable dust that will build up over the months, you won't notice a difference at all.

I have two in my bedroom and usually one is on most of the day.
I have another in my office.

I have allergies and make models (fumes), so they have their use, especially when I'm brushing dust toward their intakes when i do my cleaning.

1) super cool building. Will be great as a modular-type of set
2) C O M F Y set. Because nostalgia. I rewatch first 2 harry potter movies each year and this is the best deal because
a) both harry and ron minifigs
b) shit ton of spider-minifigs and brick built spooder

I will be so happy building this set and eating cake/having nice feelings

I remember the HYPE for 1, but a few anons were disappointed when it turned out to not be a modular for $100. I would try to get one of them to review it for you.

I really liked 2, but it is a super short build due to being a small set. Good choice if you like to play with or pose the brick built spider or have it on your desk, poor choice if you mainly enjoy the building.

I really liked 3 for the helicopter and the dragon. It wasn't the most fun build, but longer and more enjoyable than 2. Dragon is awesome to display, and cool new ninago weapons. I like the shield and helmet display sidebuild more than I thought I would, and the figs were also better than I expected.

4 figs actually, plus big fig tax on top of license tax. I've seen it ~20% off and it is the last set I need for the infinity gem and I still couldn't justify it. The spaceship from that wave seemed like a good value at 20% off, and if I have to pay for a big fig it may as well be thanos.

You could probably recoup a fair bit of the cost by selling the figs and 3 extra gems, but if you aren't already a seller thats a lot of trouble to go through.

I don't think everyone spamming will buy it though and it will both encourage more spamming campaigns, and dissuade lego from listening to fan feedback.

I could be wrong, but the best way to get classic themes back would be similar spam campains. Lego doesn't read forums and image board posts about how much we cant new castles. They see one or two posts and move on. Seeing tons of 501st spam is much more likely to get the attention (and get sets) than anything besides maybe IDEAS.

I generally just play around with certain shapes and pieces to see how they look like untill I get inspired into building something out of it.
You might also want to look up building techinces to help you with it.
At worst case you can look up instructions on the internet. Lego uploads their manuals in pdf, also look around Bricklink's moc category

I had the pleasure of building this little set today. It's a fantastic design, the tank has four wheels that go in any direction, and there are lots of unique, rarely used parts that make up the build. Awesome. It's in my top 3 sets released this year.

Some stuff doesn't work in LDD, though, so the black curves above the breasts have to be put one stud back on the hinges, the part between the feet has to be put in her back and I didn't even dare to attempt to put the hose through her body with that flex-tool.

I'll pass on that set then. Local shop network got this theme as an exclusive and boosted prices up so Watchpoint Gibraltar costs over 120$ and that shop almost never make discounts.

And now this, piss poor quality mercy, baby-face reaper, Winston with strange face... Pharah with reused nexo knights armor like if she was build by a fan.

So far the only set I'm getting is Tracer vs Widowmaker and maaaaybe Hanzo vs Genji. But Lego has already fucked those two up.

Awful. Just awful. Very disappointed with this. I saw on some review website a review of the D.Va and Rein set and the way they designed D.Va's robot is just so bad. Minimal fucking effort for the biggest cash grab possible. Fucking hell.

The summer wave of Ninjago for this year is going to take them into space and they'll be fighting SPYRIUS! That's right. Lots of flying saucers in this wave with a spinning gimmick. The saucers have a similar look to the vehicles in the last wave of Nexo Knights. I was hoping there would be updates to the classic Robo Guardian or Recon Robot, but there's only one medium sized mech on the Spyrius side that fights Kai in a mech of his own. Lots of translucent ninja weapons like shuriken and a new sword mold. Zane is supposed to factor heavily in the story too. My dad works at Lego.

The new big original them theme from Lego coming this summer is "Extreme Explorers"(think a somewhat sci-fi version of adventurers), where a group consisting of the main hero, a female pilot and mechanic, a communications expert, an explosives expert and their lovable alien dog will go on adventures to explore some known and some unknown worlds of the Lego Multiverse. Their own waves will focus on one unique world each time, with a possibility of some nods to classic Lego themes and due to the story they will appear as easter eggs in other themes (for example the main hero as a civilian in city, or the pilot as a guard in Ninjago sets). In the first wave they will explore the ass of the anon talking about the summer sets and find out where he got his info from.

very hard to say, but usually when new sets come out I have some day-one buys that I need and then I leave most of the stuff for when there's some sort of buy 55$ of this and receive a polybag promo.
And I always buy one big 150-200$ set for christmas and sometimes one big one just during the year, when I've got a big number of VIP points

This was a gift with purchase last year. It builds 24 small things but you have to take them apart because it reuses the same pieces. The second gimmick is actually good though. You take the bottom of the box and use it as a backdrop so you can take nice pictures and share Christmas joy. If you're into these pictures, I have them all posted up on my ko-fi gallery. I remember many from the 70's up to the 90's, but haven't really seen any in the last decade and a half or so.

But from what i understand from the link it was literally just one car made for Ken Block and friends, so I guess they don't care about actual rebuildability and longevity for a novelty gift wich i'm fine with.

Here's one I can think of, I know the old color line sets also had STAMPs. Could be a thing they consider fine for promotional builds.
The SC designers seem to like making one-off builds like this, I know they made one of the early Ferrari sets in blue for some musician, I think Deadmau5, and they made a yellow street version of the 2016 Ford GT for a commercial.

Idk about all modulers but pet shop does, and so does my moc mod. I wanted to do it too but it makes even a small building look odd, all doorways are like vault entrances for one. If you use jumper though you can stick plates on, but still one stud walls scale best for minifigs.

I'm autistic as fuck, and I've literally never creatively built lego. I just like following the instructions, then getting a new set and building that too.

But I finally spent 20$ on a half off medium box. And it's like a whole new world has opened to me. Now i'm addicted and I ordered more boxes (half off large ones on amazon!)

I still don't know what to build but you really get in the zone of building stuff and finding the right piece etc. It's fun. How did I go my entire life without doing this? Oh yeah, autism.

Oh shit lads, I don't know how I feel about this. I suppose all good things must come to an end. Strangely, also I know realise, either something is good and we dread its exit, or it decays and we welcome its death, and I will be within the crosshairs of each path.

Old enough to remember Star Wars as the genuine inspiration of the older Anglo-American culture and George Lucas but young enough to also see what it has become.
