Anonymous
>>7307809 While I agree with the general sentiment that Mandarake is amazing, let me share the following defects with items I got at Mandy, that were not listed in the descriptions:
Figuarts Sharivan - dusty, had insect cocoon in it's torso
Figuarts Exceed Gills - missing one of the pods on the back that slot in when the tentacles aren't extended
Figuarts Shin (sealed) - head with gaping mouth was defective (back half was same as from other head, causing paint markings to not match)
I still recommend them constantly, but it definitely is possible to get a surprise now and then.

>>7307821 >Figuarts Shin (sealed) - head with gaping mouth was defective (back half was same as from other head, causing paint markings to not match) To be fair, if it was sealed they couldn't have known about the defect given the nature of the box

I'm not blaming them, just putting the facts out there. No need to spring to Mandy's defense.
If you buy a sealed item from Bandai direct (in japan) you have some recourse when it's defective to get a replacement. Not necessarily the same with Mandarake.

Trying to decide what to do... I ended up really liking Build and I want to pick up some of the riders from the series; however, I wanted to see what the general opinion was for these guys: I'm a fan of Rogue/Night Rogue and Blood Stalk-- and Cross Charge and RabbitTank Sparkling were great designs, too. Would you guys suggest Night Rogue or Blood Stalk? What bout Sparkling? Is he worth the investment over Kamen Rider Rogue? Any insight would be most helpful!
Anonymous
>>7316358 Snake man comes with some steam accessories Night Rogue is pretty good, but I am a sucker for bat themed riders. I was never interested in Pepsiman though.

Anonymous
>>7316358 NR and Charge are worth the cheap price they are going for.
Sparkling barely has any accessories, the can lacks details and looks jarring in person, honestly isn't worth it.
Rogue has weird proportions, his hands aren't painted so they look undetailed, not worth the 7k-8k he is going for.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>7316358 Night Rogue has limited arm articulation due to the nature of his shoulder armor but is otherwise solid. Blood stalk is good, his suit is slightly less bulky than Rogues so has less of an issue in that area. I like my Rabbit Tank Sparkling figure but I also love the design so I am more willing to look past some of its shortcomings like sloppy detail on the can. Kamen Rider Rogue itself has some suit accuracy issues and the collar hinders head articulation but is a fine figure nonetheless.
Anonymous
>>7316358 Get them all. I did.

>>7316561 How in debt are you my man
Anonymous
>>7316415 I got Blood Stalk over Night Rogue because I prefered the design and color scheme, as well as the character in the show. That's going to be subjective for you though, they're very close in articulation, and if you're ignoring the effects parts, the same in accessories. So it's up to your preferences if Stalk is worth the extra cost.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>7316358 Sparkling VS KR Rogue is an interesting matchup, they both have their flaws. Sparkling is missing some detail- most annoying to me is that he lacks the white trim around his lenses. Meanwhile, Rogue has some proportion issues, although I think they're honestly not that bad in person. Although he's also missing the silver paint on his palms, which is annoying as well. Still, I got them both, and I don't regret either of them.

Just got Cronus during my recent HK trip, and at a pretty decent price too (around 41USD). Cool figure, just that the Bugvisor belt’s kinda loose and it’s not mountable onto his arm. Also, pretty amazing how SHF’s scale creep now puts them roughly in scale with MLs.

>>7319751 >>7319748 Why did SHF drop the ball so hard on Rogue? It’s not like it was rushed out early...
Anonymous
>>7319785 I don't think the ball was dropped hard-- I feel like the head sculpt jaw was the only issue?
Anonymous
>>7319806 The head sculpt is arguably the most important aspect of a sculpt, to be honest. At least top 3.

>>7319806 >collar is too small, head articulation is reduced due to oversized loose jaw/horns >not dropped hard How's it like having low standards?

>>7319773 Yeah I doubt the zi-o is going to have the same final form, they'll probably have some sort of twist that it isn't even the same dude.
Then again I haven't watched past like the third episode, so if they have already shown them to be the same person ignore me.

>>7319605 Croc Rogue has the best ankle tilt, but really all of the Build have good articulation, save for Cross Z. Rogue's shoulderpads don't bother me, they're in the normal range of SHF shoulders-to be expected from Riders with big shoulder pieces. Nothing too obstructive. Croc Rogue's biggest problem is the jaw's proportion if you can live with that, it's actually the one with the best paint QC on average out of the whole bunch. Spoilers: I make enough to buy a few of a figure I like, then keeping the one with best paint and selling the rest off either at cost or at a slight loss, when I luck out, sometimes they are even worth more though they're technically listed as used. Cross Z has flat out the absolute worst paint QC. All of them had really sloppy paint in one spot or another. Oddly enough both Rogue SHF have the best QC on average. It weirds me out because he's more detailed than Build but tends to be near perfect on every piece I saw.

I've never been involved in order toys online but I think I might NEED that Complete Selection Modification Henshin Arcle Belt. But I dunno where to start.

I have a couple silly questions about Zi-Oh toys not answered by youtube demonstration videos. 1.) Is the spinning action of the ziku driver helped by any kind of spring or something or is it just loose after you press the top? 2.) What's going on with the touch action on Woz's Despear? When you slide along the arrow are you just pressing four buttons in a row or is it actually a very cheap touch reader?
