Probably only the Bumblebee Studio Series Prime. I'd rather buy other things than one fancy prime (MP) and the new Bay Prime as well as Siege Prime both aren't to my tastes when it comes to the truck mode. B-SS Prime isn't perfect, but I like the look of both of its forms enough. I think I even like the look of it a little more than that Jetpower Revive Prime, though, I like that one plenty as well.

All of their 30-year-old bricks only had flat feet locked in one position, so that's what a good toy is to them. Ultra Magnus was about the same height as Optimus Prime anyway, nice for once to have a toy that reflects that when even the MP didn't. There's also the fact that the inner robot probably has more plastic and heft than the entirety of the CW version.

The 2007 movie was $150 million, which was considered "low" compared to it's contemporaries. $135 is pretty small for a movie where one of the main characters is a special effect and does't spend a majority of it in car mode.

I have not bought a single Generations toy to this day due to lack of ankle tilts.

Siege is the first line to make a conscious effort to put side to side ankle tilts on everybody.

Only some have toe tilt though, like Flywheels.

Even worse than Canada, where we have Deluxe for $29.99, Voyager for $39.99, and Leader for $74.99. I'm not sure why they couldn't just raise prices by $5, especially for the deluxes. The price hike there is absurd. I remember when everyone complained about prices when it went from $15 to $20 already. $30 is just way too much for what you get out of a deluxe.

I just about noped out during DOTM, when everything not only got way smaller, but they also had the balls to charge 20 bucks for a deluxe whereas you could get the infinitely superior ROTF and HFTD ones for 15. So even though I really wanted to see G1 Megatron on the battlefield at the fall Cybertron, I couldn’t do it,” Knight said. “But I wanted to fit as much of this G1 stuff I loved in there, and so I put my favorite characters in. Obviously, there are ones I wish I could put in there, and I would love to see an entire movie about the fall of Cybertron because I think it’s awesome, but just to be able to visit it for a moment, to see the Cybertron of my imaginations on the big screen, it was a real thrill.”

Rather than making Bumblebee a cameo-filled, robotic explosion extravaganza, writer Christina Hodson focused the relationships and other elements she loved about the Transformers' franchise's G1 days.

“The thing I personally connected to the most in [Michael Bay’s] Transformers 1 is that bond between the boy and his car,” Hodson said. “And I knew going into this room that I wanted to do the story of a girl and her car. I was very lucky to be able to make it Bumblebee because Bumblebee is my favorite. I’ve always loved him. But I tried to make it its own thing [and] I think we naturally got to a good place where hopefully people will be happy. It feels like it’s some of those things that people did love in that first movie but also feels like it’s own fresh thing.

It's a shame he doesn't get the credit he deserves. If Optimus Prime were ever to be taken serious as a character and not just a figurehead of nostalgia, Chalk needs to voice him. His Prime has most of the presence of Cullen's, but a LOT more depth. He might not carry the same gravitas, but Chalk's Prime has way more range and vulnerability.

Same for Kaye's Megatron. Welker just comes of as a caricature of pure evil, but Kaye has range. I really like Corey Burton from Animated as well. In fact, the G1 voices are probably my least favorite, in the end.

I've built the prime and i can assure you the kit is rather fantastic. Worst part is the stickers but pretty much all of them can be ignored and the autobot stickers go on a flat surface so they're perfectly fine and look great. Easy build too, comparable to a HG gunpla kit in terms of complication. Highly recommend it and especially recommend the star scream cuz and problems with Prime were solved with him and if WindBlade follows that upward curve it'll be another fantastic kit.

Who says that's always possible, though?

Like, a Cybertronian's brain has a certain limit to what it can handle. I'm sure if each army had the resources, they would upgrade all of their troops to have multiple brains to make them more efficient soldiers, but it seems far more practical to form a link with another robot who serves as your gun and can process targeting and trajectory info while the big bot just points him in the right direction and tries not to get hit. It's a symbiotic relationship, too; the little dude gets the protection of being paired with a bigger dude, and the bigger dude has a gun that kicks the shit out of a regular blaster. Plus a friend to talk to.

It's like, if you already own a TV and you want a VCR, you don't try and internally mod your TV to have a built-in VCR; you just plug and play. It's not as elegant or efficient as having a singular unit, but it's a hell of a lot more cost effective and practical.

Thing is sales aren't a great metric to reflect anything but sales of the current movie. There's been a lot of times where some shit was hyped up and the first one sold a shit ton of seats, was universally hated, still got a sequel that was also bad and made less money because the studio was too stupid to course correct while operating under the notion of "but the last one made bank!"

Agreed. Domestic sales peaked with RotF and declined substantially by TLK. International sales covered the difference and more though. China was a huge contributor, with DotM and and AoE pulling in over a billion $, but then sales fell off a cliff for TLK. So domestic numbers had been trending in a bad direction since the 3rd film, and the 5th film failed domestically and internationally. It doesn't matter who the director was for the 6th film, it was going to have an uphill climb at the box office.
