McFarlane Toys take a little bit of artistic liberty when it comes to anything they produce, although they don't do it as much nowadays. NECA's stuff is more screen accurate, and the figures have better articulation. That being said, the McSulpts™ have always been good, same with the paint work, so you're getting a good looking "statue" if you don't care about poseability that much.
Keep in mind that NECA's stuff is more recent, and will be easier to get for a cheaper price, and in mint condition.
Overall, I'd say just look at galleries/videos online and decide what you wanna get. Both companies have produced good figures.
