The problem with NXEDGE is they aren't really doing anything that other lines aren't or are doing better. One of the big complaints I hear is the fact the line is SD. That's popular in Asia but elsewhere SD is seen as annoying, akin to when a toy line is sabotaged by action features.
The line is also really unsure what it wants to be. It launched as basically a budget line for college aged kids, the idea being it was retro focused, covered several lines and the stackable stands let you build desk displays. Then it got taken over by Gundam for ages. Then feedback told them fans saw the line as candy toys at a premium price, so they stepped up the cost to make them better. No more block hands for instance, the figures instead get sculpted hands closer to RD.
But now the line seems to have no clear direction. It's had Gundam, Gaogaigar, Geass, Digimon, Eva, Megaman, etc. They've teased Ultraman, Iron Leaguer, even MCU Iron Man. But right now it's basically being dominated by Mashin Hero.
I really wish they could go back to being a catch all pop culture SD line. Maybe that kinda clashes with likes of Nendoroid or, dare I say it, Funko Pop. But the line being so broad and it being hard to predict was part of the fun for me. It was great to get some cool robot toys from stuff I knew, hadn't watched much of or even any. All at a generally afforadable price.
The way things are going I can see this line ending in the not too distant future. Usually the Bandai lines find a fanbase but with NXEDGE few seem to be biting. Lost count of how many "I bought these but wow they're crap so I'm selling them" stories about the line.
