There is an updated "LegoMovie" category in a biggest online shop of my country and its the same category that was used during LegoMovie run.

And at the very bottom i see this previous movie merch.

Nobody ever wanted to buy her. NOBODY BOUGHT HER FOR SO MANY YEARS
I remember i wanted to get her just for ironic meme-use but i got sick back then and it was bad. So i didn't want to get a keychain that reminds me of that.

Fuck, how long do I have to get the Speed Champions Porsche two-pack before it's retired and unavailable on most European stores? I was thinking about leaving it as a summer purchase since I'm currently saving up for the UCS Slave 1 but looking up how the 2017 SC sets have literally doubled in price from the beginning to the end of this year on BrickLink was me really worried and pissed.

This minifigure will fit nicely to my sky pirates crew.

I imagine that youtube channels like Jangbricks or Just2good would be getting a LOT more money pert month if such magazines were sold in USA so those channels were kids 1rst newsletter in terms of what we getting in the each issue, what poster and comics inside.
These magazines are so damn useful in parts and minifigs terms but completely unknown outside of europe

Let me tell you about Alien Commander Hypaxxus-8, and how he shaped the world you know. (Official but obscure lego canon)

>Opened up portal under the sea to attempt to take over the world, letting giant sea monsters and bizarre creatures into the world. (Atlantis theme)

>When that failed, he awoke Amset-Ra and instigated the Pharoh's Quest (theme) where Amset-Ra tried to gather his six world-conquering treasures, only to be defeated by Jake Raines and his team.

>When that failed, Hypaxxus-8 abandoned his earth-based alliances and just went into full invasion mode, trying to take over the world with brute force (Alien Conquest theme).

He's literally the reason for like, three of my favourite sets and technically tying a lot of themes together in canon.

Im 34 and i dont understand what kind of retard would like this outside of reddit-tier normies that having their dicks hard over "classic :)" meme.

Even as a kid i always hated old lego. It was simple and shitty. Figures always lacked in facial expression and build literally looked like a bunch of bricks.
Being born in 1984 i always preferred action figures and videogames to lego until mid-00s when minifigures and builds finally became complicated and expressive enough.

I so hate the craze that going around this set.
I look at picrelated and it fucking blows my mind.

I kid you not - those people just circlejerck around this set like they do that about Funko Pops.
This is not even a SET. because nothing in this can not be properly used or not comes in enough quantity to be a good buy for a lego builder.

Like...yeah...put 2 plates on top of each other and add a brick.

Also does anyone else feel most of of the TLM2 sets range from meh to terrible in cost to part? Like, theres not one I'd call an amazing value.

As far as this truck goes, obviously I like it but it doesnt FEEL like a $50 truck, more like a $40 one.

I'm 26 and I feel the same. Sure, I have fond memories of me checking out Lego sets in small shops, but that's childhood nostalgia. Once I take a look at late 80s/90s sets most of the stuff seems excessively simplistic. I dislike modern Lego for different reasons, but older stuff wasn't as stellar as some make it out to be.

Just got the Ultrakatty set today and the first thing I checked were the leg printing.
Thankfully both figs turned out to be absolutely perfect (hell, even Ultrakatty's eyes are actually properly white instead of that weird faded pink on her minifigs) and it seems like something or someone REALLY fucked up with the Overwatch ones.

Also, while looking around the store I noticed that the Lady Iron Dragon minifig is also available as keychain.
Maybe I was just imagining things but the face print on them seemed to be MUCH better and colorful than on the actual figs.

Honestly, I don't personally care for Lego Minecraft BUT they make for great play sets. (I can have SW battles on the platforms and whatnot) Also it comes with a brick separator which I don't have yet kek And it's on Clearance for $20.

As for the ATM heist set, it's selling at B&N for a little under $10. I already have that Spider-Man but I really like the thugs, the bank, and the weapons.

The Republic Fighter Tank has been a want of mine for a long time. Currently at $12.50 (so a little over my desired price for it), I want a Republic vehicle to counter all of the Separatist shit I have.

That being said, I feel kinda guilty about wanting another set, since I haven't opened the others I have. It's just that these sets are on clearance at B&N and I don't know if I can snag them later at similar prices later...

I'm disappointed with Powered Up.

I really like that you can control it all with an App, I like that it's bluetooth, I like the idea of a new line of power functions.. as I want to get into power stuff now

But there's a lot of draw backs. Not compatible with old system (I guess not a big deal since I don't have any old power stuff, but if I ever want to get any..)
Not as modular - can't stack stuff
Big and bulky

I'm not sure if I should wait or just get the old Power Functions 1.0 stuff. I just want to dick around, nothing special. And the old stuff will be cheap with PUP boosts launching (supposedly on their story early january)

I hear ya. Still waiting for the other hardware to drop. It's got to have a servo and a rechargeable batterypack, otherwise I can't get hard.

Also, not too happy with the new six-threaded wires. The four-threaded ones were hard enough to properly manage.

The set was designed as a "troop builder". It has a small build next to the figures which are the main reason you'd buy the set.

They have troop builders in almost every line (including SW) and every time the build included with the troops is bad and laughable.
Yes, the build in this set is not a good one, but you've missed the point.
People are buying that set for the figures and not the build itself.
Also here's an interesting concept. I never had CS stuff growing up and I really enjoy the sets and the overall aesthetic of the line. It's not nostalgia, it's something else - something I can't quite identify myself.

Is the Ninjago Movie worth watching if I've never really been into the series before?
I got a couple of the figures from the series line recently and I'm really digging their designs (especially the Shark Army General and Great White), wasn't sure if they had a bigger role in the movie.

22 here. I actually love the old style way more. Maybe not the simplicity and clunkyness of the builds, but the contstant use of sharp slopes/bricks and the open studs are way more appealling to me. It's a seperate aesthetic all it's own and I miss it. Everything today has to be smooth and round and coated in tiles and arches. The faces are way too detailed, and almost everyone has two expressions so barely any new heads work with your OG caps, chef hats, cowboy hats, etc. What happend to the octagonal windows, or the angled window panels? What happened to the standard bricks being so abundant? I have more 1x1 plates and 1x1 round tiles than I do standard 2x2 or 2x4 bricks. I don't think I have a single red, blue, or yellow 2x4 honestly. The ones I have are either black or grey. Sure, a bigger parts library is nice, yet I feel like Lego could be doing better. They seemed to lose that visual cohesion they once had somewhere in the 2000s.

What changed is that Lego got better at making smaller pieces. What used to require large models to look good back in ye olden days can now be done with much smaller ones, reducing the price without reducing overall quality.

Pic and filename related (although inflation is +25% on that). It's a random one I came across, that I remember being perfectly fine, that perfectly highlights how lame the designs actually were relative to now.

i remember some anons came here and gave a link to a weird Bricklink page with blurry zombie shark photo that had a name of a regular shark.

Me and couple of others took a risk and bought it (for quite cheap price than those being sold officially on bricklink now) and got actual lego products sealed in plastic bags.
Which means chinese sellers actually STOLE those sharks to sell them on bricklink!
Im still blaming myself for not buying two. One anon bought 5 as i remember. Even two sharks were not as much as bricklink asking for one nowadays

The upcoming F40 looks pretty good but I think there are few pieces that could be replaced with tiles for a smoother result. I understand they used the modified 1x4 tiles on the sides to get a sturdier build, but the 1x1 and 2x2 spots just puzzle me, why make them with studs showing?

Last time I checked biology meant that we're not all carbon copies, and that folks have massively different shapes from one another.

Also, there's tons of overlap. Take a person's height; there's no "male" or "female" height to have. Yeah, on average men are slightly taller, but a tall woman isn't automatically less of a woman, and neither is a short guy less of a man, regardless of what the people on your TV might tell you.

What is the best way to build roads for a Lego City? I'm too cheap to buy roadplates unless they are in bulk
