>>7307953Whatever/whenever, I only have 2 collecting hobbies, one is dolls so I’ve tended to indulge. It was a more spendy year than usual but not the most expensive year since I started.
3 bjd - 1300, 975, 495. Second and third were layaways though so not as ouch.
3 silkstone Barbies because on clearance at Tuesday Morning = $150 for the lot. I might sell one nude but I’m not sure yet
2 basic barbies for customizing, few clothing/accessory packs, and I kept my yearly membership but I might drop it in 2019. I haven’t used the buying perks yet at all.
So...$2000+ on dolls. I don’t count shipping because it’s just a given and it costs what it costs if you want the doll. Few accessories for their diorama from the craft store so a bit more in that department.
About $50 in figure Christmas ornaments because fuck me, it’s slowly turning into a collection.
But I really like them and they stay neatly packed most of the year. It’s Nutcracker themed so it’s finite and done when I collect one of all the characters.
I need a ‘buy no doll’ year while I overhaul my doll collection and sell/trade some things.
At least I’m very close to my ideal collection in bjd and that’s enough silkstones to keep me happy for a good while so aside from clothes and accessories, I’m good for now.
2019 will be a low spend year to work on things. No set budget but I’m just not in the market for anything likely to release or really grab me.
