>>7313153I still like MP-10, but its datedness goes beyond aesthetics; the thing has terrible joint layout which prevents basic shit like it being able to properly sit down, knees and elbows that stop at 90 degrees, a headsculpt thats hardly definitive. Nothing that stops the original from being a good toy I'm keeping, mind you, but its a lot to have as a "pretty damn good, but not perfect" toy thats over 2ft tall. Issues that were passable in the regular version are less forgiving on the OS. I'm glad you're happy with it, but I see a lot of people weren't once new MP Optimuses started showing up. I agree with any of the new ones not being a right fit for an oversized version, but I feel like elements of them would've been better incorporated for a perfect Optimus.
With Devastator, although the individual components are almost pointless on a giant scale release because everyone's going to just leave it combined, but none of the available options have really captured the G1, but detailed aesthetic of MP-10 through 25 or so that I really want on a figure of that size. I love the detail of the GT vehicle modes, butt he robot modes are too close to Unicron Trilogy stuff. Thats not a bad thing, it just doesn't feel like the constructicons to me, especially in an MP collection; and now they even feel off with modern Classics stuff. Toyworld's is just garbage and a placeholder.
I found the tidbit of spoiling a 6 year old with CW Devastator funny because I actually did buy my 5 year old nephew a UW Devastator for Christmas.
