I used to believe for a bit but mum taking me for when we put toys for layby killed whatever illusion there was, family never put much effort into christmas or any holiday to begin with but to her credit mum did try her hardest.
Thankfully saint nick was real, there was also some documentary I wanted to watch years ago claiming the real "santa" dropped gold bricks down possible prostitutes houses to stop them from doing so, sadly I was a wee kid and the time was beyond my bed time so I never seen it, but kindness like that does exist in this day and age so I believe that, and the fact the modern day santa is a commercialized bastardization of many different myths and stories of some supposedly jolly chap.
So, do I believe some fat guy is rinding around dropping off presents, no I don't, do I believe there are people doing his deeds but not as one whole person, I sure do, hell donated some of my personal collection just not to long ago to spread some real christmas
