a lot of anime girl figures, most notably Jean D'Arc alter. A lot of these look cute and cool but at $50-60 its less fun just buying them now, I don't care enough in the long run to spend $60+ on them just because I kinda like the character or design. Really I've cut down on a lot of basic Japanese import figures in general.
Dropped most of my superhero movie import figures, too. They keep cranking designs out and between Mafex and Figuarts are both good but too different scalewise, with Mafex taking the edge in quality lately. Bt I got tired of buying both, or buying one only for another, better one to come along, plus I'm not as attached with the designs as some of the older ones. For comparisons sake, I gladly dropped nearly $300 for a Hot toys based on Keaton Batman, because 30 years later Is till love the design. Or more recently, about the same on HT MK6 Iron Man, to use a more recent example of a design I liked. But ragnarok Thor, or all the Black widow designs, or even a lot of these Captain America suits after the First Avenger one; its all stuff I don't think I'll care about in 10 years.
In general I've felt soured on the whole preorder game and am mostly looking into collecting backlog of cool figures I've missed, both imported and domestic.
