1/6 Scale Marvel/DC Figures

sup /toy/ I'm in need of advice when it comes to 1/6 scale figures. Are there any good ones for Marvel and/or DC? I always thought Mezco figures were 1/6 but I recently found out they were 1/12 scale..
Are Hot Toys my only option?

Do you mean figures from live action comic book movies, or figures from actual comic books?

I'm not to knowledgeable about the movie/tv comic figures but I'd think Hot toys is the best bet and the company with the most options.

For (non-tv/movie) comic book figures Sideshow Collectables have started making some pretty good looking 1/6 figures, Superman, Batman, Joker, Green Lantern, Cap America, Deadpool, Thor, Wolverine, etc. Only recently though so not many in the lines. Medicom previously made some Marvel comic book figs (wolverine, cyclops, venom, etc) but these might be a bit noticeably older.

These look great! I'd prefer some non-live action figures, like the sideshow Daredevil, but some live-action figures are fine too.

Just bought my New Goblin from Spider-Man 3 as a start of my collection

I think then Sideshow is the best bet for the comic book versions. At the very least it looks like they're planning to do the major characters from DC/Marvel so it'll probably turn out to be a pretty decent line up, except it'll take a while time for them to get released.

My current favourite one is the new SC batman, if only Mezco could do a 1/12 figure like this.

New Goblin isn't really that great of a character or figure unless you happen to really like James Franco for some reason, but you're going to get insane mileage out of the awesome flying base he comes packaged with.

Be warned - unlike Hot Toys, the Sideshow 1/6 figures don't look anywhere near as good in-hand as the promotional shots. That and they're often riddled with QC issues, usually in the bodies.

I have had bad experieces with Hot Toys, they are extremely fragile and any wrong move or wrong touch and they will break easily. their joints are very fragile and their clothes can be fragile too. specially rubber or leather suits.
if you go the hot toys route just understand that they will have to be treated very carefully and not touched too much. they are very high maintenance toys.

Most will say Reeves but the mos/bvs/jl ones are pretty good as well aslong as you like the design.

The Reeves figure is still one of the best they ever released, but it's very old now and has an emergent issue where the chest symbols are starting to melt. It seems to be mostly on figures in humid climates, but even so. There are several people offering replacement suits that are better than the original with embroidered S-symbols, but they're not cheap.

Sideshow comic Superman is bad. Only consider it if you can get it cheap and have a replacement head lined up. The body is prone to serious breakage issues often right out the box, and the head sculpt looks nothing like the prototype - he's got this weird Robert Zdar jaw going on. Also a point of contention, he's inexplicably skinnier than the Sideshow Batman.

disappointing desu. probably the best outside of hot toys though. only other options i can think of is the 13inch dc ones which are alright but incredibly dated or the medicom RAH ones which war trash,
