The original molds are very dated in many ways. That Victory Saber set is a simplified G1 downscale with better proportions. The G2 repaints/retools can just barely blend in with modern mainline toys though.

So? The unicron trilogy done the same thing but yet '07 was a massive hit despite being the first live action movie. There is no excuse as to why its not performing as well as the other 4. Maybe the movie needs a Megan Fox prequel with Arcee (RotF) as the main bot.

So I just bought Razorbeast the other day. And he's a fun little toy to pay with. I like his auto transform feature and the hidden weapon you can store as part of the beast mode. I figure if beast wars ever gets a reamke with modenr enginering. They could do something similar to what siege is doing with the mount on points for weapons and armor.

Actually 600 millions i what the movie grossed globally (130 + 470 = 600). It means this movie costed (with the advertisement campaign) more than 700 million to make.

MP+ figures are just MP's with a g1 accurate colour scheme. Unfortunately all its done is remove paint from the original figures mostly as the G1 colours were simplistic. MP-44 will undoubtubly get a nemesis & ultra-magnus repaint but you'll have to wait a while plus be prepared to pay more than $300 as it will probably be exclusive which means a markup in price. I doubt MP-44 will get a + version as it is already styled & coloured to look like the G1 cartoon so there would be no point in releasing a + version (neither mp-01 r 10 got one in the end either).

Needless to say, the movie hasn't been a success by any measure other than meeting extremely low expectations. The box office is exactly where you would expect for TF6 considering the arrow has been pointing down since 2. Just because they may or may not have made a decent film (most of the positive reviews are middling at best if you bother to read them), it doesn't prevent the fact this film leads into 5 terrible ones and a terrible universe that fans want to move on from, hence the low box office despite a supercharged attempt here and elsewhere to pretend as if they care about the fans for the first time in forever (coincidentally only when they desperately need us).

The real problem indicated by this article is that they are satisfied, delusional or not, which I tried to warn you about. We need to be vocal that the reason this flopped is real and palpable. Their satisfaction won't mean more of the "G1 Optimus" you saw fleeting glimpses of, there is no G1 Optimus here. There is a crazed killer with Rodimus flames and a beak. You are never getting anything beyond shallow, completely unrelated designs and characters until this is totally overhauled, starting with the entire creative team and probably a new studio. Bumblebee still has more in common with the actual insect than the TransFormer he's very loosely based upon, and 6 films in that's not only completely pathetic, it's also not going to change under this group.

If this isn't dead, studio delusion or not (let's be real continuing after 3 was delusional), it more likely than not means you will never get TransFormers on the big screen. Not something to celebrate if you thought TF was more than just random violence and robots who only hang around wanna be sex symbols for no apparent reason.

If this movie was so good, this director so amazing and key, why did he think Blitzwing was a seeker and not a triple changer? And then featured 2 other triple changers? Turns out the reason Blitzwing is Starscream is because this idiot thought that was basically true. Well, it is basically true. If you don't bother to take 5 minutes to learn anything about what we love. That type of nonsense isn't just disingenuous fan pandering, it's insulting and harmful to the brand. It's like JJ Abrams confusing Stormtroopers for Ewoks. Just because our brand features characters that convert doesn't mean that they are interchangeable. We must have standards or we have nothing in the end. I've warned this for a long time, hence you have 6 films of nothing.

Dude, it’s more than likely that “blitzwing”’s name was a decision by Hasbro or paramount.
Because it’s a lot easier to market a toy of a character who actually has a name, rather than ‘decepticon seeker’
Considering he was never named, I think knight just wanted an example of a seeker in the movie, because seekers are basically the stormtroopers of transformers.

Anyway, blitzwing is never named specifically in the movie, so if later movies decide to include him, then they can just say that blitz scream was just some random seeker.

I still found that whole situation odd, since Blitzwing was never even named in the film. I think he just wanted to dismiss the fact the bot in the trailers wasn't Starscream since many fans jumped to that conclusion, but he could have just said it wasn't Starscream without giving a name.

Cybertron figures sold out at the prior Christmas, Classics was moving well, and Hasbro felt confident enough to continue Alternators and Titaniums. IDW was starting out strong and selling more than MTMTE/Lost Light has. Transformers: Animated was already in the planning stage as Heroes.

Bay didn't save the franchise, paramount did by making a movie and bringing it back into the public eye, bay was just the vessel.

I think the funny part is that if you look at G1 Decepticons objectively, a good number of them are plane dudes with "violent aggressive personalities", and the writing has never been so good that any of them weren't entirely interchangeable. Getting irked that this one angry plane dude was named Blitzwing, but wasn't tan and purple and didn't have a tank mode is pointless. New continuity; learn to let go.

Just got back from Target. They had all the voyagers and Leaders for Siege. Only 2 Sideswipes as far as deluxes though. I snagged one. He's cool. I got Voyager wave 2 pre ordered on BBTS to go with Megatron. I'll get the eventual Bumblebee when he gets announced. Which Autobot should I get next to go with Sideswipe and Prime? Hound? ironhide and Prowl look decent too.
