I recently just managed to re-complete my original Galaxy Convoy, and I'm a sucker for that design, but I think I'm gonna pass on Galaxy Chungus. As an homage it's the physical embodiment of a uni kid who didn't try at all to start with, and then started cheating and faking everything to salvage a flaming wreck of a GPA. It doesn't do anything better than the original toy, and it cheats way too much to even get as far as it did.
I'm just worried Hasbro will use its inevitable poor performance to justify rehashing the same G1 designs for years to come, allowing the brand to languish as people stop buying the 7th slavishly G1 Prime in a decade. There are tons of other designs from decades of continuities in desperate need of an update, and they picked the one that arguably needed it the least. Or, god forbid, some ACTUALLY NEW designs? That seems to have ended with Warden taking over. Outside of things taken in from IDW and ILM, anyway.
