Really, the guy was only villainous when he stole Woody. Beyond that, unless I'm misremembering, he was just an unsavory toy reseller.
Also, /toy/ doesn't seem to be the old-fashioned "it'll be worth something someday" type. Mostly people collecting what makes them happy here.
