- Star Wars Archives wave 1 should be out in stores by now with plenty restocks incoming supposedly.
- Wave 2 is supposed to come sometime later this spring and will include Yoda, RotS Anakin, biker scout and Darth Maul
- the new wave of TVC should be out either this month or the next and features a rereleased Gamorrean Guard and Chewbacca
- 6" Mimban Stormtroopers are being restocked in Walmart, go find them because they're out there.
- NYTF in mid February should ideally have some new Star Wars toy reveals... anything you'd like to see Hasbro announce? I'm hoping for more prequel 6".

Apparently, she was supposed to get a scene near the end where she wears a sexy ballgown and has her hair did and gets a makeover to contrast "damn the frumpy girl in the mechanic's jumpsuit looks like THAT?", but at some point that scene got written out.

I like to think that her jumpsuit outfit look was intentionally designed just as buildup for the reveal of a scene that ended up getting cut.

Does anyone remember what the product line name was for these? This General Grievous figure was styled from the Clone Wars animated series. There's a Anakin & Capt Rex figure from this set as well. They are about 10" tall, light up and have sound bytes. They were also geared for younger kids

I don't think people are touting Lucas as any kind of conservative hero but there's this weird rose-tinted view where people try to paint him as being politically neutral or at least moderately conservative compared to the supposedly radical agenda of Kennedy, but these people either never actually heard anything Lucas said or never noticed any of the liberal messaging in the movies because they watched them at an age when politics didn't mean anything to them yet.

Consider that Leia taking charge during the cell block escape (among other things like resisting torture or deliberately lying about the location of the base even though her homeplanet was being threatened) is meant to be a subversion of the usual helpless damsel in distress cliche, but it may go over someone's head if they grew up in a time where this sort of thing was becoming common. That's why even though it was literally the "strong independent woman who don't need no man" of its time the people who are usually triggered by that sort of thing don't even realize it. Same with Billy Dee Williams being cast because of complaints that there were no black people in the first movie, he was literally put in the movie for the sake of diversity but people are so used to him already being there that even as they threw shitfits about John Boyega being cast solely for diversity they don't realize Star Wars has been doing this forever.

Not him, but Jar Jar was a pegwarmer back in 1999. The thing is, tons of characters have been pegwarmers over the years even popular characters like Han, and Rose honestly isn't even the most egregious one in the last few years- Finn in both the 5POA and TBS lines (both scales) was far worse, as well as Zuvio. Han and Leia in the 3.75 TBS Walmart line were absolute poison. Hux in 5POA was a horrible pegwarmer both for TFA and TLJ, the only reason Rose has developed this reputation for being the worst pegwarmer in history is because people want to keep painting her as the worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars, so naturally she has to be the worst at everything. I don't like her either but it's insane the lengths people are going to justify hating her. There's enough reasons without having to rewrite history or just straight making up shit about Rose figure distribution.

I'm not sure where I really fit in the SW fandom anymore. Is there some random splinter group that found Rogue One and Solo tolerable but have zero interest in the sequel trilogy stuff?

I'm 100% gonna buy all the figures from The Mandalorian series.

I'm 100% not seeing TLJ, Resistance or the next one that comes out, and not getting any of those figures, just no interest there at all.

I feel like I got baited into seeing TFA and deeply regret it, but I loved R1 and Solo was... well it had some good parts at least.

Opened up Hoth Leia today. For sharing the same body as Bespin Leia, she feels like a wholly different figure. The welding goggles give her a real mad scientist vibe, and the vest and boots push her into “Captain Cold” territory in a nice way. The improvements in articulation, engineering, sculpt and paint are all highly evident here, too. I put these Leias, Bespin Han, and Tattoine Han next to each other, and even the necks on the newer figures blow the old figures away.

Completely agree about redos. I just got the Archives guys, and they could all use a serious update. The face printing on Luke is nice and all, but if they’d get him some better elbows, like all of their figures released in the last year, he’d be so much better. Almost there. I'm expecting we won't see a whole lot of big news because they're probably going to save a lot of reveals for Celebration, but I'm really hoping for a Ventress reveal. If both she and Dooku are shown or at least confirmed then I don't care if the rest of the reveals are absolute garbage, having those two would make my year.

I was cool with R1 because to me it was essentially a Lucasarts game they forgot to make

TFA was underwhelming but I was lenient then because I figured it was just a dress rehearsal for bigger things in the future. Like it was Disney saying "Hey sorry you hated the prequels, here's all this OT shit you like back." TLJ just built off the worse aspects of TFA, plus the whole socio-political message crap had no subtlety to it.

Solo isn't even bad, it's just there.
