Is it generally considered socially unacceptable for adults to indulge in, or enjoy Lego? I don't see why it should be. Even if they are considered "toys" they're not terribly different from other model kits.

Anon, a lot of people have given you words of encouragement and they are correct, if you’re responsible and have the income, go for it.

With that said, 600 usd is way too much for that set. I get the appeal of it being lego pieces, but you could’ve gotten something better for 1/6 of the price. That model is not even that good or appealing.
