I have always been a fan of Gunpla, but I recently got into entry level garage kits (CharaGumin) and was amazed with how satisfying it is.
Is there a good site for information on working on garage kits so I can dip into the more complicated stuff?
Are there any garage kits /toy/ recommends for beginners?
And are there poseable resin kits like there are for plastic kits?

There are Poseable resin kits but they are very hard to find outside of hobby shows like won fest.

there are GKs that use figmas/frame arms/busou shinki as a base

this is what I currently have on order. only place selling it was either in japan where you had to go to a show in person to buy them and aliexpress. i'm guessing the aliexpress version are recast? having said that, what is the quality like of recasts?

Yep, there are several out there that can make use of 3rd party joint packs. I have a couple from GaoGaiGar Final I finished some time ago along with acouple of gurren lagann ones and a virtual on bunny girl one in my backlog

What should I do to make sure my work environment is safe after I’m done sanding?
I know to wear a mask during, but what about after you finish your work? Is the place gonna still have resin dust that can be kicked up or does a wipedown take care of it?
Asking cause my wife is very against me assembling indoors and wants me to use the garage, but it’s -5 degrees outside and my garage ain’t heated.

Usually, you can find them on Yahoo Japan Auction throughout the week Wonfes happened but if you don't speak Japanese or live there then you're relying on middleman services to acquire them. I've only used Buyee in the past but they seem pretty reliable. There are some Elite Knight kits available right now if you want to get one (they aren't cheap).

I got this old MegaSculpture kit recently. It's my first time with a GK but I think it turned out pretty alright (could probably clean up those seam lines a little bit more though).

so how do resins even work? for example e2046 and the gk-model website, they have the same model, but apparently different quality. so how is this even done? do they have rights to this castings and the original creator gets a split of that or is it just completely free for all where everyone just recasts ?
